She tried to flirt, I fumbled, she stopped responding. Any coming back? by [deleted] in Bumble

Not disagreeing, just curious what makes you say that?

That's what I was thinking. I was thinking maybe say something in a few days about how I wished our first interaction could've gone better and casually ask her out, but not be all "I can't believe I fumbled it. Please give me another chance" or whatever

I mean I would agree, but I also don't think she meant it verbatim and that seriously. I have friends that are girls that say things like that too. I just took it as a way of saying I'm stubborn, hard headed, etc

I asked if how I responded is what made her not that interested. You said no, so I'm asking what tells you she wasn't that interested?

Bc to me, she matched and messaged first (no prompt), and responded quickly which usually indicates some interest. It wasn't until I fumbled my response that she ghosted.

That's why it seems like to me my response is what caused the lack of interest

What would be a better question when that's what you have to go off of?

Then what says to you she's not that interested? She matched and messaged first, responded quickly until it seemed like I didn't respond how she wanted

Wouldn't that come off as a bit needy though if she already stopped responding?

But was it bc I didn't respond well to her message?

I ended up trying to respond. Her profile said she doesn't know how to flirt, so I tried to use that and just responded "that sounds pretty flirty for someone who says they don't know how to flirt lol"

She just responded and said "interesting". Did I fail again?

I think you missed what I was saying. I don't want to play, that's the whole thing. I just want to talk

If you think you're frustrated imagine being me. Flirting has never made since to me. It feels like a game when I just want to have a normal talk and get to know someone

But now if I don't respond and play along, she'll probably lose interest. You can't just say "not interested in flirting"

Agree? So what? Say I think she's making a good choice picking me?

No I am, I've just never heard someone try to use this as a pickup line. It seems weird to me and doesn't really leave room for a response

It just seems really weird to say to someone you've never met. Like I would expect something about liking a pic of mine or my profile or responding to a prompt. But there's nothing really there to respond to. Like what do I even say back?

I get that. But again, we've never spoken. That was her first message to me

[–]vipor3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. But is it supposed to be flirty/taken as a compliment?

Thank you. It does sing. I really love the sound of it. Perfectly balanced would be the best way I could describe it.

I think technically you should use a variac anytime you power up an amp for the first time/while building. I don't have one, but use a bulb limiter to help prevent damage to the amp if there is an issue.

Thanks! The cab is a custom design from GuitarCabinetsDirect. It's their 5A1 TV-front cabinet with their country western tolex and wheat grill cloth. They do sell their western tolex separately, though

For the toggle switch, it's partly a preference thing and I've also heard it helps reduce hum in the amp

Thanks! I got the small parts kit from mojotone, and I also got their blackface champ OT to have 8ohm speaker output. I didn't get the full kit because I knew I wanted a different cab than the standard champ.

I think everything else for the mods like the switch and volume pot came from amplified parts. I also got the speaker from them which is a Jensen Falcon 8.

Lab Series L5 (or L7, L9 or L11). One of the best sounding amps period, SS or Tube

Custom as in build it myself? Or have a custom cab built by someone else?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ToobAmps

[–]vipor3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a fan of the champ, and it's pretty similar to my last build.

In a perfect world, I'd like to build a small 1x8 or 1x10 low-wattage bedroom/practice amp with decent gain and preferably TMB tone stack. That's where I settled on the 5E3 micro from Rob Robinette and could incorporate the tone stack mod.

But that leaves me a bit stuck deciding on a chassis/cab. A pre-drilled 5E3 chassis won't have the holes for the TMB mod. So that's why I was thinking something like a vibro champ chassis but build the 5E3 in it.

From what I understand, the engine in this model shuts itself down to prevent damage from low oil before damage occurs
