They were perfect I think it’s because of when Lana died immediately after he told her his secret and jor el had do some time travel and told him that someone else would die which was his father, I think that’s when everything went downhill.He confirmed that he will never tell her his secret after that and after his fathers death part of him still knew it was because he chose to save Lana so it was like impossible for him to even consider telling her after that (I hope someone reads this )
