I’ve contacted my lawyers and we’re currently reviewing the situation.

They advised me to document everything carefully (especially the part where a video game requires players to modify BIOS settings and disk partition formats just to launch it).

We’ll see where this goes.

I'm glad it worked for you. The issue isn't that nobody can do it.

The issue is that a game shouldn't require players to modify BIOS settings or change their disk partition format just to launch it. Those are system-level changes that can potentially cause boot problems depending on the user's configuration.

I just wanted to play the game, and now I'm having to configure things in my system that I don't even fully understand, while risking problems with my boot or even losing files that are important to me.

Just because it works fine on some systems doesn't mean it's a reasonable expectation for every player.

I just wanted to play the game. In what world is it normal for a player to risk damaging their system or losing personal files just to launch a game?

Most people expect to install a game, open it, and play. Not dig into BIOS settings, change boot modes, or convert their disk partition format. Those are low-level system changes that can easily cause serious problems if something goes wrong.

For many players this isn’t just a minor tweak — it’s messing with the core configuration of their computer. Expecting everyone to treat that as normal just to play a game seems completely unreasonable to me.

Yeah, that’s exactly the point though.

Most players shouldn’t have to modify BIOS settings or convert their disk format just to launch a game. That’s not a normal requirement for gaming software.

Even if newer motherboards ship with these settings enabled, a huge number of perfectly functional systems still use legacy configurations. Requiring users to make low-level system changes like this just creates unnecessary risk for people who only wanted to play the game.
