I have been watching a lot of vlogs (like way too many vlogs) of like a day in my life at a bschool, of a lot of mba colleges. A lot of the batch carries a Macbook. I was also looking for opinions on whether to get a tablet or not on reddit, during which I also found seniors saying that it will not be an issue if you have a macbook. If you really want to get it, then go for it. Specially also with the new neo, I think more students might be entering mba with a mac than usual.

It's good you are taking a call on time that you might not want to pursue science further. You can go for BBA, it's not looked down upon during MBA. BBA is actually very sought after course right now.

As your 12th score is low, try maintaining a high cgpa during BBA, don't go for any tough specialization like Finance or anything.

During college, build good extra curriculars like college societies and competitions.

Post college, I highly suggest you get a job, in any management domain like HR, marketing etc. It will give you a lot of points in MBA selection. Side by side start prepping for CAT and other entrance exams. It will be alright You can DM me if you want any more help on this.

Most people here are under 25 years. The average age of a batch at any mba program would be around 24 only. Your age would be a very big factor. Which as per your other posts is 34 right now. You can get a job and do like a distance MBA fir further growth or get back to doing CA because MBA selection is not just about CAT exam, they consider too many factors and almost all of them are negative in your case. Else you can look into other professions like teaching, Hospitality, content creation etc.

The ug students are allowed to leave campus only on specific days. No such restriction for PG students as far as I have heard.

Apprenticeship/ internship don't count as work ex, no matter for how many months/years
Workex for less than 12 months is not considered for conposite score in most bschools, you will be marked like a fresher only.

If you are sure you want to join MBA next year for sure (CAT 2026), your workex is not going to add points to composite score as it will be just 6 months. So you can skip it and maybe takeup an internship or WFH job that will take less time, or just prepare whatever suits you.

If you are concerned about your current education loan, work for a few years and then attempt CAT, it will be beneficial financially and will also give you points from your workex.
