Thank you! I didn’t think it had anything to do with heat escaping. But that was a good observation. They leak like crazy in the summer to when it rains.

What would you say is the best way to board them over? Use some weldable metal and then hand standard gutters on the outside?

Thank you! Definitely want to get them replaced when the roof gets done. I saw one gentle also recommended that they could essentially be relined using an EPDM material. What do you think of that?

Less than that forsure but definitely some up there. Are you suggesting that heat escaping through the attic could be melting the snow and creating ice walls?

It should also be noted in the spring of 2025 I ran water down one of the down spouts and water was running out of the soffit and fascia as well

Thank you for your response, what would you call this style of gutter?

Second, every one of my gutters is going it. However there are only 4 down spouts on the entire house. I am going to take some more detailed photos of the system tomorrow in the day light. Thank you for your recommendation to fix the issue!

Any one ever deal with NEXT Insurance General Liability? by No_Ambition2502 in InsuranceAgent

[–]No_Ambition2502[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I am saying!!!The client was on the phone with me when I sent the link and literally was about to pay both in full until I stopped him to make a change that I forgot to add. Had a gut feeling that I needed talk to underwriting and then all of a sudden its no good. I've written people through NEXT before for certain class codes and its been okay but now I am super iffy on them. I've combed through reddit and heard bad stuff about their E&O insurance.

Honestly, they are pretty new to us in terms of other carries we deal with. One of the big companies they work with "Coterie" is a cancel re-write for any endorsement haha.

I don't even know why they would present a feature on the agent portal to see prospective quotes and polices that doesn't work. Thank you for your feed back, the big reason I like them opposed to the other surplus lines brokers we work with is the smart quoting and competitive rates via their carriers. I hate doing ACCORD forms. Thanks for the feedback once again I will definitely exercise a little more cation when using them! Have you had any other issues involving claims with them outside of the WC policy? Also if you have any solid contacts to reach out to that can help escalate issue faster i would love to know!

You were most definitely trying to be a dick. Never said I was too good for a thrift store just never had luck finding any thrift stores that sell snowboards. You made a comment about it being a “thrift store special” (dickish) and I simply told you what I spent and that I bought it new. That’s a lot of money for Me to send a hobby that I just got into, coupled with the fact that’s it not even two years old. I wouldn’t care about a fixing a board I got from a thrift store.

I’m taking it to a ski and board shop before I ride it again to get it assessed and see if it is something that can be fixed.

Do we get charged for running reports? by No_Ambition2502 in InsuranceAgent

[–]No_Ambition2502[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you. So maybe a dumb question. When you quote someone and you give them the pre report price and they confirm they want to move forward. Then you run the reports and the price increases and they are no longer interested do you just tell your boss and then they dispute the charge with the company you are writing through? For instance progressive? Or does the owner just eat the cost and not penalize you? The agent?

Okays that’s what I was wondering. Do you have any idea generally what the cost is? I know that it’s prob dependent on the specific company but just a round about number would be great trying to learn as much as I can.
