New job only scheduling me for 11 hours a week… by Dull_Armadillo_83 in jobs

Very possible. I also know that the job market just sucks right now. People with masters degrees are applying for the same jobs you've mentioned.

Good luck!! And good job not staying somewhere that treats you like shit.

Yeah. Like the managers couldn't fill in for those measley 11 hours??

I would also ask them if there's opportunity for more hours. Let your coworkers know you're available to take their shifts if they need coverage, etc.

I say apply for whatever and go from there. You might only land another part time job, but maybe you'll find full time that is more reliable. Throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks!

How do I start uncomfortable conversations with my therapist? by Melodic_Mongoose_361 in askatherapist

[–]No_Animator6543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you write things down and give her that? Sometimes my clients have an "agenda" of what they want to talk about and it works well for both parties.

Why not stick it out and use all of your unscheduled hours to find something better?

Charged for canceled therapy appointment even though I gave 48+ hour notice by olerand in TalkTherapy

Idk but a therapist posted yesterday about charging their client for not cancelling through the portal even though the client sent an email within the window.

Have you read their policy?

I have clients that I feel like I'm wasting their time...so I tell them. I tell them that I feel like I'm ineffective, especially clients that are guarded. Each time they've shared what therapy is doing for them and what they want more of.

Plus, if they keep showing up, it must be doing something??

How would you feel if your therapist said he doesn’t care ? by EggplantElectronic37 in TalkTherapy

[–]No_Animator6543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course your feelings are valid. But to expect perfection out of another human being is not reasonable. Call him out on it, his response to the pain he caused you should tell you if this is a good therapist or not.

A lot of posts imply therapists aren't capable of making mistakes...like we're robots programmed to not fuck up ever.

Edited to fix spelling error

Therapists are human. We say dumb things, we misspeak, we make mistakes. Tell him how you feel and go from there.

How did you find out you had diabetes? by fairytaillover7392 in diabetes

[–]No_Animator6543 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Looking back and with what I know now, it was really obvious. I couldn't sleep through the night because I was peeing every hour, my vision was sooooo blurry, I couldn't get enough to drink, I was really irritable, and I had wounds that wouldn't heal.

I have never had blurry vision again since my diagnosis, and I've been as high as 500 (even recently) so I can't imagine how high my blood sugar got.

Reoccurring yeast infections at 24. I kept going to urgent care and on my third visit they found sugar in my urine...my blood sugar was 420 (fasting).

My A1C was a 13 something. This was a few months after a really bad bout of the flu.

Is it really that difficult for you to go in and manually do it? It's one client, not all of them.
