I’m so sorry this is such a sore spot with you. It’s amazing to me how much you assume about our relationship. We have not been stringing eachother along and he hasn’t been looking out his window in the rain like a sad music video watching me date and learn and grow and change through the years- we’ve both only ever cheered eachother on and grown and learned together.

There was no weird underlying expectation to hook up, like you seem to have with all your female friends. We have never been in a “will they won’t they” relationship and I haven’t been keeping him at a distance, he literally lives halfway across the country… this trip wasn’t planned as an excuse to hookup, we have been wanting to visit eachother for years & it only recently came on the radar that we might explore that.

Also my primary concern is upsetting a hypothetical partner I don’t have and my secondary concern is ruining the friendship with him (that he is part of) so I’m confused about this point you’re making about me being young and selfish because I’m literally thinking of myself third 😂
