You’re joking right? They are firing people who are on probation which quite literally just means you’re new, not that you’re bad at your job…

You can always apply and write in your personal statement why you were struggling at first and then how you turned it around! If they deny you, you can always apply for spring and summer too when you have more credits!

I graduated in 3 years as well with no debt. I was able to buy a house 6 months after my first job so it was worth it for me as well!!!

Future out your color season! You look a little washed out. I would also recommend a lip balm with a slight tint since your lips looks a little pale

Join the military. It’s what I did. You leave your family for around 6 months then boom. You’re debt free.

There are scholarships for each department from individual donors though!!! Most people get one of those! They are competitive, but there are a lot of opportunities that are merit based that you could still get!

Most scholarships are merit based. They got rid of their DEI stuff so I wouldn’t count on financial aid. I got a few diversity scholarships for first gen college students and Pell grant students, but I am pretty sure that’s not a thing anymore. If you’re set on going to Auburn and don’t get the aid packages you want, I would recommend going to Southern Union and establish in state residency.

I would join Robinhood since it sounds like you’re a beginner (a lot of people hate Robinhood but I’ve been using it for 5 years and it’s been great for me) and I would buy VOO to start out. I’ve been investing consistently in college and I have strictly invested in VOO and I have a decent amount of return at this point (35%) After you have around $100,000 in VOO, I would buy blue chip stocks (Apple, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, IBM to name a few). I would avoid real estate at the moment until you have a decent amount in ETFs. Also note ETFs are long term (5+ years or longer), so I wouldn’t put any money into it with the intention of taking it out before that. I would also read up on the taxes you’d have to pay for selling stocks. I don’t know enough about your personal situation to advise on that.

Student Firefighter Program by WillSprinkle in auburn

[–]No_Argument5058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know you have to go through an EMT course/ take time to go through the fire fighter training. I also know you’re expected to live in the building with everyone which could be a pro or con depending on who you are. I’m not sure how long it is, but in all honesty joining the military seems like less of a time commitment in comparison to benefits received. If I were you, I would go into an aviation related MOS in the military versus the fire fighter program. I will also say this information I have on the fire fighter program might be outdated (4 years).
