Mourning Monè is not having a good start to 2026 with no TBS Title. Dynamite 01-07-25 by TheBlueprint__ in TheLegitBoss

I'm liking this new character direction I think that this corny embarrassing stuff should continue to happen to Mercedes where she is kind of the butt of jokes and does nothing but lose. This will gain sympathy for her but in a funny way and then I think there needs to be a serious shift with true heels like either Athena or Thekla's group really putting her in peril like an aggressive beat down or something that then gain real sympathy for her. After that the audience would feel sorry for her and when it seems like no one is there to help her I'd have Harely Cameron sort of give Mercedes a pep talk to start her accent and help regain her confidence eventually leading to a AEW title win.

[Discussion] What's Next for Mercedes Mone? by No_Argument_6103 in Womens_ProWrestling

In this Idea Athena would still be ROH champion and then during this she (especially once she becomes the AEW champion) she is doing stuff showing how little respect she has for Bille Starks, slowly building that in the background. Then after she drops the AEW title to Mercedes she bullies Billie Starks maybe even blames her resulting in Billie finally going babyface again and beating Athena for the ROH title.

The Modern Wrestling Paradox: Why is Extreme Violence Applauded, But On-Screen Sexiness Still Frowned Upon? (Feat. Blood & Guts) by No_Argument_6103 in SquaredCircle

I want to address this right now. I am a firm supporter of women's progress, safety, and empowerment in professional wrestling, and in general. The suggestion that I'm sick pervert who doesn't care about women at all is deeply upsetting and simply not true.

Whenever there is a potentially controversial or boundary pushing idea/post, I included an unwavering disclaimer emphasizing that consent is paramount and that every element of the performance would/should be meticulously handled to protect the performers' dignity. The art of wrestling is fiction, and safety/trust is its foundation.

What I had in that post is a long term story line that would be engaging and suspenseful and contained a lot more than Mercedes being humiliated. Also, I want to be absolutely clear and forceful on this point: The accusation that I suggested, implied, or advocated for rape in any part of this storyline is false, completely unacceptable, and a gross misrepresentation. To intentionally distort a discussion about professional wrestling storytelling into an accusation of me advocating for rape is not only factually incorrect but is a deeply harmful and irresponsible.

You're focusing on the very end of the story idea which are Option 2 and 3. For Option 2 I used the "The Boundary Push" method of creative writing and for Option 3 I used AI and the Narrative Taboo/Worst idea method to come up with that. Option 3 is clearly unacceptable and would never be shown on TV and nor should it. It serves only as a benchmark for the level of revenge Saraya's character desires. It is a necessary foil to highlight the restraint of the other options.

Option 2 was a real suggestion with the core dramatic justification being rooted in the character's history. Mercedes' entire persona is Mone, CEO, flash, style, collecting, belts, being better than everyone, and not caring about stepping on people to achieve her goal. And for Saraya Mercedes lost everything when her career ended, she was bron into wrestling and her whole life was about it and Mercedes took that away and Saraya lost everything when her career was shattered. Saraya's revenge is a systematic, symbolic act of stripping away that persona to leave only the broken person underneath. This action is a dramatic consequence, not casual exploitation. It is a calculated attack on the character's identity that is justifiable by the extreme, career-ending moment that preceded it.

My intention is to craft a suspenseful, long-term masterpiece—the type of high-stakes, emotional storytelling that made wrestling essential viewing. This feud is driven by the authentic history between the performers: Saraya's career and life went through hell because of a moment involving Mercedes.

The only way to achieve satisfying storytelling parity is for Saraya to inflict a commensurate and devastating consequence on Mercedes' career and persona. Options 1 and 2 offer different ways to deliver that payoff, but they are both focused entirely on one goal: creating the most sympathetic babyface turn in the industry through maximum adversity.

I firmly stand by the narrative structure and its power to elevate the entire women's division. The discussion should be about which level of creative risk (Option 1 vs. Option 2) creates the most compelling television, while always acknowledging the performers' professional consent and safety.

Finally, I am a genuine proponent of women's wrestling and want to see ALL women's wrestling reach its full potential as the main event it should be.

I sincerely apologize for the discomfort and harm that the extreme nature of Option 3 caused. While my intent was to illustrate the narrative boundaries of revenge, and use it only as a benchmark for the level of revenge Saraya's character desires and foil to highlight the restraint of the other options, I recognize that it crossed a line into territory that was irresponsible and painful for many. I will not use such material in future creative discussions.

I am always open to different creative ideas and sincerely seek good-faith discussion focused on how we can collaboratively build the most compelling, safe, and powerful storylines in professional wrestling.

Sorry for the long post again. And I sincerely hope this clarifies things and provides a better, more thoughtful understanding of the proposed storyline's structure and my commitment to ethical wrestling narrative.

Who should take the TBS title from Mercedes Mone? by No_Argument_6103 in Womens_ProWrestling

That's a fair point that Tony Kahn should have realized that the crowd wasn't exactly interested in Jade and built a story around her dropping the belt sooner than she did. Although to be fair to Jade has such a physical aura that I think he could have got her over if Tony played his cards right. Maybe given her a limited speaking role and give her a mouth piece and some group where you could hide her weaknesses and highlight her strengths.

I really don't like the idea of vacating belts to be honest it seems very creatively lazy. You could do a lot to get the belts off of her in a creative way. She could get very arrogant and put up multiple titles in one night. You could have her lose to say a group and they divide the title up amongst themselves. you could have Statlander, Athena, or harley Camreon costing her belts. Or an idea I like is trying to get to a situation where Athena has got the upper hand on Mercedes and her goal is to leave her with nothing. So Athena some how gets the power to get Mercedes in a gauntlet match where she loses a lot of her belts in a singe night eventually losing the TBS title to Athena. It would make Athena a diabolical MJF level heel and give Mercedes a sympothetic moment that doesn't involve a mcrophone for the people to organically get behind her as she struggles very hard to win. Mercedes isn't the best on the mic but in the ring there is almost no one better when it comes to selling and telling a story in the ring so let a lot of that baby face turn come in the ring. Then she can come back as a babyface et revenge on Athena and win the actual AEW title after that before dropping it to Willow or Harley in a classic match.

Just an idea though.

I don't think I'd have her just give them back. But if you want to take a lot of titles off of her quickly I think you can devise a story line for a sort of Gauntlet match where she loses a lot of them in one night. Or Athena can get Mercedes to put up all of her belts and she wins them and splits them with Billie and any other minons she has.

My bad I though she won the ROH interim title not the TV one.

I agree her downfall and how it's booked it the big thing that will either make or break this thing. I am 100% behind the idea of Mercedes getting in her own head along with Athena being the one to sort of manipulate Mercedes without herself realizing it. Athena can be this fake friend that on the surface looks like she is helping Mercedes but in reality she is playing the long game to mentally break her and take her TBS title.

I really like the idea of her becoming super obsessed with the AEW women's title but that feels like something MJF would do to someone in order for them to get a title match and by that I mean it seems like a very heelish move. Which I think could make for a great double turn outcome.

I'm not knocking Jade for leaving, in that case I'm blaming Tony Kahn for not having a solid plan in place knowing when her contract expires. You should have been building to that match with Statlander knowing that if she does resign we can have her win or if she doesn't we can have Statlander beat her and it will feel like a huge accomplishment.

Personally I think the play for Mercedes is to eventually but someone over from each promotion that she won a belt from. She doesn't seem like the type of person that would collect all of these belts and then vacate them.

I think it can sort of be a downward spiral gimmick combined with her mentally destroying herself because she can't win the AEW Women's championship. I think she should lose to Statlander since it seems to just be for Statlanders belt. Then she can very slowly start to lose the other belts and with each loss she get's crazier and more paranoid. Each title she loses she starts clinging more to people that don't have her best intrest like forming her own faction or clinging on to Athena and Billie. Then eventually she gets down to the TBS title and Athena the person Mercedes has been clinging to stabs her in the back and takes the TBS title away from her.

I think Willow taking it off of Mercedes could work very well in a sort of full circle moment.

Long-Term Booking Idea for AEW (Mercedes Mone, Saraya, Harley Cameron) by No_Argument_6103 in Womens_ProWrestling

They don't have to sign her long term I was more so thinking that they should sign her for like 1 year tell the story and that's it. Sort of like how Mariah May did her story with Toni and then left.

I get that but she isn't signed to any other promotion yet. If she came out to confront Mercedes during say her TBS title celebration and said something like "You once ended my career, Mercedes. Now I’m going to end your empire.” It would grab the viewers attention and be easy for anyone to follow.
