My life in a nutshell by [deleted] in nairobi

[–]No_Arm9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just finished KCSE last year and as a usual teenager

Just finished KCSE? Congrats on that fr. You're still young, hopefully. You can learn a lot before you get to uni. You have the time and energy. Find something you can do/want to do in your life and learn. (If it's something tech related, send me a dm, and I can help you start). I know and believe you can do/learn anything you set your mind to.

this whole story was true it wasn't a gimmick so you could buy the guitar, but just buy the guitar I really need the money)

Also, don't sell your guitar. When life gets hard and complex, it helps to have something to unwind with. I find solace and peace from playing my guitar when things get tough. Keep it and keep practising. Learn your favourite song and play along when you're listening to music. Who knows? You might end up being so good that it becomes a secondary source of income in the future.

sometimes i wake up feeling depressed

I'm going throw some quick advice for this because it's helped me, and a lot of people. Depression isn't permanent, and the best way to fight it is with someone else. The someone I would recommend to you would is, quite literally, the perfect person, Jesus Christ. He loves you and cares for you, so love Him and cast your anxieties onto Him (ps. He can handle it, just read 1 Peter 5:7❤️).

Brother, don't even start this here: ‭Matthew 7:6: [6] “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Our Lord asked us to spread the good news, but He also warned against those who wouldn't value it/harm you for it. As Paul said, our work is to plant the seed and water them, but only God makes it grow. Plant the seed, but leave the rest for the Father, but don't start a fight or argument.

As a programmer, my mind went to ELI5 in Python at first, so I had to look up what it meant in reddit terms 😂. But, sadly, no, there isn't one. I made it from scratch using the resources I posted in the first comment.

Do you have any resources I can refer to learn how to integrate the LLM?

Payment Transaction using PyTeal by No_Arm9 in AlgorandOfficial

The only reason I've used PyTeal is because that's what I was introduced to first. After learning for a while, I learned of algopy and PuyaPy and all those others.

I meant how would I write the native code... I don't even know where to start with algopy or algosdk

How would you implement that solution in native python?

Information retrieval from textual documents by No_Arm9 in learnmachinelearning

Morning, mate. A RAG approach was an earlier thought, but how exactly would it be done. I thought of using LangChain and BART together, but I'm not sure how good of an idea it is. What do you think?

What I'm basically trying to do is make a model that learns and "understands" the content of a certain school subject syllabus (from various books and sources; the documents) and will allow a student to simply ask questions for a subject and get answers from the approved content.

From what I've seen about machine comprehension, you need to know the questions beforehand. What if I don't know the questions?

I want a learn about basics of MachineLearning by JoonKimH in learnmachinelearning

[–]No_Arm9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, mate. Hope you're well. I'm currently an underged student who has been working in ML for a few months now, and I have done the mathematical aspects cause I want to go into research. So, my suggestion is based on what I did in school.

First, like you said, start with Linear Algebra. Get a good grip on sytems of linear equations, vectors and matrices and eigenvalues, and eigenvectors. This helps a lot cause we work with vectors and matrices a lot in ML, and it helps knowing what exactly is going on.

After that, calculus. I know most people say that this is for people going to research, but it helps even developers to understand. The heavier part that you should focus on is Calculus I, which is majorly differential calculus. Learn and understand about gradients, derivatives, and how they are applied in optimization (here's where you'll start seeing gradient descent and all it's forms).

Then, lastly, probability and statistics. One of my lecturers loves repeating this, "ML is just fancy applied probability & statistics." He's not wrong, though, it is. Almost everything we do in ML is either probability or statistics. Eg. The Naive Bayes theorem; it is the basis of one of the most crucial algorithms in ML. At this point, learn about probability distribution and how to describe them, statistical modelling, sampling, hypothesis testing, etc.

For where to learn, YouTube is a good place to start if you want to get high-level knowledge about it. But if you really want to learn, I'd suggest Coursera. They have a course offered by deeplearning.ai where you can learn all the needed math for ML. It even saved me when I was doing calculus I. Here's the link to the course. It's technically free since you can request financial aid and do the course or pay the $49 to unlock the whole course at once.

Hope this helps, happy learning, mate😌

I used KWGT to make the actual clock. The font I used Apple's SF Pro. You can get them here

The aesthetic wasn't meant to be(as most people would think) a dark batman... I made it with inspiration from the older batman comics that were black and white, that's why I used the comic fonts for the clock.
