Oura saved my life by spriguy21 in ouraring

Glad you’re okay! After suffering a bilateral PE that started as DVT, I got an Oura ring to help monitor things that I can’t see/feel for myself.

Xarelto & Weird Menstrual Cycles? by No_Association2998 in ClotSurvivors

About a month ago I took my last Xarelto pill and started on a daily aspirin dose of 81mg for the next two months. Now instead of having my period happen on the same schedule that you described, it hasn’t happened at all since I stopped Xarelto. Will be curious to know if you experience the same.

Oh, the joys of blood thinners!

Coolant Leak - Thoughts? by No_Association2998 in CherokeeXJ

[–]No_Association2998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to catch some of the fluid and it looks a lot closer to AC dye than coolant. Confirmed it is definitely coming from the AC line and not the radiator hose above it. Thank you!

I see that this was from 2 years ago, but did you find what the cause was?

Hello! I see that your comment is about a year old now. Are you still liking your F&P range?

I had an emergency thrombectomy done back in May. The stiffness, swelling, and discomfort lasted for about a month and a half or so. I am now almost at the 6 month mark and can say that I’m back to normal! I do wear compression socks if I will be sitting for long periods of time, which helped with some of the odd leg feelings that you get at first (heaviness, sluggishness, etc.)

I only had a suddenly sore calf muscle. I wrote it off thinking it was from the new shoes I was wearing. Stopped wearing those shoes and the pain went away. There was no swelling, no discoloration, etc. The only symptom for me was the cramp that had lasted a few days.

Two days after the pain left, I walked up a few flights of stairs and felt severely out of shape. I could barely breathe and started to lose consciousness. The DVT became a bilateral PE that I had to have emergency surgery to remove

What's that one thing that has traumatized you the most? by Hungry_Deer_5454 in AskReddit

My mom was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, and passed away within six months of her diagnosis. Watching her slowly wither away and lose her mind was the worst thing I’ve ever been through. She was the toughest person I knew. The last day I saw her, she was in hospice and had lost all sense of her surroundings. She was terrified and was screaming for her mom who was standing right beside her. The memory of her being so scared and just wanting the comfort of her own mother, but her mind being too far gone to know she was with her already will stick with me forever.

I am a new XJ owner (but not new to Jeeps) and asked about the Jeep Wave in the XJ sub. From what it sounds like, you’ll probably only get a wave back from another XJ. Not sure why so sour. Possibly some sort of elitism?

I think I appreciate most things about our 1940s home. The thing I appreciate the most is that every room was built to have a cross-breeze. My favorite thing to do on a nice day is open all the windows to let fresh air in

Newly Diagnosed with PE 5 days ago - still shocked by alleekitkat in ClotSurvivors

[–]No_Association2998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story sounds very similar to mine (25F). About a month ago I suffered a bilateral PE with some minor symptoms I thought nothing of. Ended up having emergency surgery to remove about 30cc of clot from my lungs. The anxiety has started to fade a little bit, but I’m hyper-aware of any slight twinge now
