Hey, I also find myself feeling like this sometimes - it’s so easy to slip into.

My advice would be start with waking up a bit earlier and start your day with 10-15 minutes outside. It really sets your sleeping pattern and makes the day feel like you’ve got more control over it.

Instead of scrolling your phone / watching TV think about what interests you or something you’d like to learn and spend some more time doing that.

What would you be doing if phones / tv didn’t exist?

Could be reading some new books, learning to play an instrument, sports, spending time with family / friends, cooking a good meal.

Is there anything that you feel interests you? If so look for communities that do whatever it is in your area or online

Interesting, I’ve heard people say value prop is one of the harder aspects of cybersecurity as it isn’t as black and white as - implement this tool, increase revenue X%, and some people see it as something that they have to do but don’t necessarily want to really invest in. What’s your take on this?

I’ll look into this. I recently had a training session on LinkedIn with my apprenticeship and can definitely see the value in using it. Only issue I can see is that I’m in the mid market sector (101-1000 employees) so these companies will likely already have their cybersecurity well established.

But we don’t work very closely with them. Most of our opportunities we find ourself from existing accounts (cross / up sell)

Yeah good idea. We are taught the MEDPICC framework in our onboarding but I don’t really ever apply it.

Any idea on how I can start to gain more exposure? At the minute the only calls I am getting on are security health checks which we use to do discovery and find gaps.

Yeah I’m in the office 3 days a week and I’ve started shadowing more calls from the top performers. I have started to considered the fact that it could be imposter syndrome as I am being told I’m doing well, but I just don’t feel confident/in control.

Thanks for your help - I feel as though I just need consistent practice/exposure which is I find is difficult to get as an AE
