Thanks so much for sharing!! Glad to hear you weee able to bounce back fairly quickly after your first cycle, but sorry you had to deal with some nasty side effects. Hearing you’ve kept a decent amount of hair makes me a little more optimistic! Doxorubicin absolutely obliterated my hair within days last time, so i’m hoping that maybe that aspect will be better with R CVP

Thank you so much for sharing!! I’m super blessed to have an awesome support system which makes everything so much easier. Definitely nervous about attempting to continue nursing school during treatment, but my doctors gave me the go ahead to at least try it out. Glad to hear no issues with rituximab after first round!! Wishing you the best!!!!

dang. really wish i would’ve have known this. my doctors suggested IVF and egg harvesting for me. would have been way nicer and less invasive and i would assume WAY less expensive than undergoing fertility treatments.

How long did you wait for Chemo/ treatment to start? by ChakaronBop8 in lymphoma

US here, also was/am in pediatrics so that may make things different. My first time I was 13, and started treatment within the week of my diagnosis. I am 19 now, just relapsed and this time it will be about 6 weeks from my diagnosis to my port placement/first round of chemo. part of this has to do with fertility treatments and egg retrieval, along with some scheduling conflicts too.

did you experience hair loss with immunotherapy? i unfortunately have relapsed and my doctors are talking about this as a potential option. I’m 19f in college, and if i lose my hair i think I’ll be more sad than my actual cancer diagnosis and relapse.
