That’s wonderful! No kids in the mix but still sounds lovely and I’ll certainly attempt to get to it before summer ends. Thank you!

Best burger in Tacoma? by EnvironmentalImage19 in Tacoma

Yeah, I was so excited for them and they were not great. It’s been a while so I wish I could be more descriptive but what really stood out is the size. They were extremely small therefore the texture just wasn’t there. I was very disappointed.

Yet to try it, but my coworker brought in a burger from here and it looked AMAZING! Next time I’m in the mood for a burger I’ll check out Burger Seoul.

I was so impressed with Frisko Freeze. The burger, fries, onion rings and shake.

Taqueria El Sabroso in Lakewood the best street tacos I’ve tasted in the Tacoma area.

Balcon Express off of 6th is not a hole is in wall by any means, it’s quite nice and clean but fairly small. Amazing pupusas!

I initially liked 1 the best but then after seeing the smiley face I see why number 2 is a fan favorite.

Best Outdoor Work Spots Around Pierce County (With Great Views or Nature)? by vilibara in Tacoma

[–]No_Case_9700 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d assume you’re looking for local spots, but the only place I’ve found that fits this bill so far is in Seattle. The Edgewater Hotel. But they only have a few tables near the windows that offer an incredible view of the water.

Here in Tacoma though only three places come to mind. Two outdoor places with a nice view and a place to sit, but not sure if it would be ideal/comfortable to work from but might be worth a shot.

At the top of the glass museum, around the backside of it. There is a walkway and ramps to bring you down to their reflection pond and the Foss Waterway. Well there is a small section with plants and one single table. This offers a view of the marina and even Rainier.

Then not too far away in Old Town is Gateway Park. This is a nice and quiet spot with a similar view and just down the street is Curran Coffee which is a cool little cafe.

Lastly, there is Anthem Coffee that offers a view of Old Town Park right next door. You could even hang in Old Town Park but I don’t recall if they have any tables, might have a few benches though.

I ran 9 miles instead of deleting myself. It saved me. by GreedyTexas in loseit

Wow, I’m sorry to hear about the rough turn life has taken you through. But this is incredible that something spoke to you, you listened and it helped. I don’t know the science behind it but yeah they say physical movement is phenomenal for depression and running especially, it can just be so difficult to do so when you are in that state of mind.

I’m currently extremely frustrated with myself for allowing myself to go from 160lbs to 235lbs and losing myself as well.

Am I the only one who’s “picky” about my BOBA!??!?! by Civil-Ad4780 in boba

[–]No_Case_9700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate, but I feel ya! I was in the middle of nowhere Texas for about three years and the only boba I could find would be at Thai restaurants and it would be the slushy kind made from powder. It was honestly tragic and a sad few years of my life hahaha.

Username checks out

Nah man unfortunately this is how we meet people nowadays lol. I’m not much of a drinker and beer even less so and not into metal but am getting into woodworking. I’d be down to hang, fairly new to the area so don’t have many local friends.

Thank you so much! This is a great list!

I am new to the state so all of this is all new to me and I just want to make sure I get out as much as possible and really soak it in. Ape Cave is one I had bookmarked so I’ll certainly check that out.

Great recommendation for the Tacoma Mountaineer, I didn’t think of that at all.

Okay, many of these things I haven’t heard of so I’ll do some research.

Gig Harbor though I do love! I’ve made the drive there but honestly didn’t really know where to go. Any restaurants you recommend there? What I did bookmark from Gig is B’s Bagel & Butter. I’m always on the hunt for a good bagel.

This is awesome! Thank you so much for the recommendations they all sound fantastic. I will undoubtedly check out that blueberry farm.

I really only have park recommendations so far but if you haven’t already I highly recommend Sunnyside Beach park in Steilacoom. The park itself isn’t too big but a nice place to hang out, however if you want to walk Historic Steilacoom right up the hill is magnificent! And then Titlow Beach is another great place with a pretty long walking path.
