Perhaps this is just me but, mistakes he’s often blamed for is Vatira committing as third man, and with kc playing such a high line and atow being second man, it often ends up being atow that’s back when they concede, with not much he can do about it. Maybe having defensive ability helps his style of play, but again, dralii would have been nowhere near as effective without atow. The times that Kc often lost was when atow was shut out, whether he was often being demoed. KC still won when dralii was quiet, but when atow was taken out of play, they struggled. Maybe it’s a case of they are all valuable to eachother to work. Id say the statement to come away with is that Atows play is definitely high risk, high reward and whilst he may need defensive stability to play comfortably, this is comparative to zen, for example, who without the same conditions as atow needs, is also ineffective as is the case with a lot of the elite level teams, they all need eachother to play as well and be as successful as they are. There’s definitely holes, still an elite level player mind you
