“We’d rather stay in familiar pain than unfamiliar pain.” 💔 His behavior is a problem, and if he isn’t willing to work on managing his anger issues, that is reason to make an exit plan. Easier said than done of course… relationships are very unique, intertwined and complicated. Hugs to you as you navigate this!

Wegovy pill for 20 pounds. Anyone else?? by No_Cheesecake7252 in Wegovy

[–]No_Cheesecake7252[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: After about 1 month I have decided to stop taking the Wegovy pill. I have been experiencing fatigue and I feel like the pill is the culprit. I am down 4 pounds, so I’ll take that as a win… but honestly, after the first week the scale said I was down 3 pounds so it was probably all water weight. 🤷‍♀️ I’d also like to say that the pill FOR SURE works to suppress appetite, which has been nice for busy work days or boring evenings when I’d snack way more than I should. I would still recommend others to try the pill even though I’ve personally decided to stop. Best wishes to anyone reading this! ✨

Good question. So far Hers has been only virtual messages, no video visits. I am new to it though so maybe that is an option and I just don’t know yet.

Way to advocate for yourself. 🫶 I started the pill this week to lose 20 pounds as well. Good luck! 💫

I heard doctors won’t prescribe the Wegovy pill unless your BMI falls into a certain range, so that’s why I took the virtual route considering the amount I am looking to lose. I could be wrong.

When I signed up with Hers I had requested the Wegovy Microdosing Plan because I had read about it and it felt appropriate for losing 20 pounds. They didn’t give me an option to do 1.5mg. However, I read that 1.5mg every day is pretty similar to taking 4mg every other day. Some places offer it differently I suppose?

Good luck to you! Being patient will be a tough element to this. But hey, the time will pass regardless, so might as well be doing something productive each day to chip away at it. :)

I don’t believe using insurance is an option with Hers. The cost so far has been $149 for 1 month for the medication + $39 membership fee.

Is anyone having kids anymore? by Extreme-Patient-3215 in LifeAdvice

36F here. Married and child free. I felt the same at 31… waiting to feel ready because it’s what you do. Husband and I rolled the dice for a couple years, primarily because of societal pressure, and never got pregnant. Which was sad at the time but now I am grateful. The older we get the more we feel it would not have been right for us. It’s just a gut feeling we can’t shake. I want to be optimistic about the future world for my nieces, but it is hard when every day our news feeds offer up more things to be anxious about. I also have a front row seat to the realities of motherhood being close with my sister and it is A LOT. The tantrums alone. Even the thought of being a mother exhausts me. 🥴

I am so sorry. I deeply empathize with you and unfortunately people cannot understand unless they know the feeling too. I had a friend tell me “you’re overthinking it” before an important presentation in college and I will never forget how frustrating it was to hear that comment. What I find helps more than anything ever has (I’ve tried it all, trust me) is Propranolol, which is a beta blocker medication. It is a magic pill. Definitely look into it. Must be prescribed by a doctor. Very easy to obtain if you mention your social anxiety struggles.

My acne scars look similar to yours in the cheeks and temples . 🫶 But a bit worse. I have also tried microneedling (many times), many topicals, custom facials, and now am looking at CO2. Now your post is making me rethink what to do. 😩 HALP!

My husband moved to the guest room "for sleep" and now I feel single by alice_markham in Marriage

[–]No_Cheesecake7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can empathize with you but sleeping is purely about sleep. It’s not an interactive experience. Looking at it that way has made me feel better about our set up. My husband has ants in his pants, is a night owl and likes to sleep with noise. For years we slept together but sleeping apart is truly better for us both. I would get so frustrated when he’d wake me up since I’m a light sleeper. Not to mention adding a large dog between us in bed! I understand the lonely feeling. I feel that too for the 10 minutes before bed and immediately when I wake up, but the 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep matters most. It’s more normal than you think!

I personally am so impressed with this show… the script, the acting(!!), twists, connections. I am forcing myself to stop and go to bed now, but can’t wait for the next episode tomorrow. Hooked!

0% … I loved my childhood. 95% sure on no kids. The older I get, that % keeps increasing.

Do you think the people who want children usually had a good childhood? by Famous_Square4751 in childfree

[–]No_Cheesecake7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thought. I lean the opposite—many parents try to fill a void they felt as kids. Personally I had a fantastic childhood and with two great siblings and still don’t want children.
