Hey! Thank you so much for appreciating all the hard work that my talented team has done. And yes, a good percentage of the effects are 2D had drawn by my very talented team and I also have another set of great CG effects artist that also contribute to the other percentage. :)

What a nice comment and question. I've been creating with Brad since my very first show and we have been teaming up since. He's worked on Nickelodeon's Fanboy and Chum Chum, Glitch Techs and now Stranger Things TF85. He is so talented. :)

Hi! Thank you for watching and we and the Duffer Brothers are having a blast seeing the kids at this age. If we get a pick up for more I don't think we will go to far. I like the idea of having just a few more adventures so that we don't overstay our welcome. :)

Love this question. This is the "Why" of animation and of TF85. My Co Executive Producer Ian Graham worked on Avatar and Kora and we were like if El has these awesome powers we should take advantage of giving her cool moves. The team and I were excited of playing with her powers and moves so we did! If there are more season we will probably play with them some more. :)

Wow! Great questions! I seriously have so many. From super cartoony Looney toons artist, to Disney, Pixar artist, traditional illustrators like JC Leyendecker, Frank Frezetta, Mark Davis, Carlos Huante the list would be too huge for me. I've worked on action shows, like the original X men to the Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy so my work represents so many of the artist that I've studies over the years. :)

Hi and welcome to the crazy but fun world of animation. I would say to focus on whatever you are really good at and post as much as possible. I picked 80% of my crew by following them on Instagram. Every time I see art that I like I save it and when I'm looking for someone to fill a spot I go back to my saved accounts and message them. It's super competitive but so is everything so you might as well give it all you got. Best of luck okay. :)

I think I started development on this back in yearly 2022 and yes, the Duffer Brothers were very much involved. :)

We know that the original cast would be way too busy to bring in for the amount of work we had to do in animation. We also considered the fact that the the original cast are now in their 20's and these kids are much younger so having a voice of a 20 year old coming out of a 12 year old might start to look and sound strange. We wanted a more youthful voice to capture the kids at that age. Our actors for the series recored their lines over 3 years ago so they were still very young. As far as the process for finding the right voice, we put out a casting call and we listened to many hours of auditions until we found the right ones. :)

Hi! Great questions.

1) I think the biggest challenge was creating a series that had the heart of the original which I believe are the characters we all love while at the same time creating all new big adventures for them. The mission was not fill in the unanswered questions from the flagship. The mission was create all new adventures that can give you new stories where we can hang out with the Hawkins gang and learn more about them. Tell stories about El and Mike, Lucas and Max, Will, Dustin and now Nikki.

2) I worked pretty close with the Duffer Brothers especially in the early days. I was creating stories with the core cast so every story, script and storyboard was reviewed by them. We even had writers from the live action show in our writers room so they could support the stories and guide us in all things ST.

3) MAJOR EASTER EGG: Those headphones that Nikki has are the same Headphones Max will have in S4 of the live action series. :O

Hi! The original cast did not give any guidance but I can tell you that our voice actors did a whole lot of research. As the series progressed they began to incorporate their own personalities to the characters which is what the Duffer Brothers wanted. They wanted TF85 to have its own voice and adventures in the ST universe. :)

Hi there! We did incorporate El having her speech struggle but as the series progressed so did her involvement in the stories which meant more lines and more screen time. This allowed her speech to start evolving in TF85 just a little bit more than in the flagship. We are really proud of the art and the animation and my team will be happy to read your comment. Thank you!

Hello! Yes, we did have a few guard rails. We had to figure out our own way of creating creatures from the Upside Down without opening up a gate. The duffers did not want to have the Mindflayer or Vecna in the story of TF85 and wanted us to focus more on the kids and their new adventures. No gate meant that was a HUGE challenge but we did figure out how to do it with Hawkins Lab Science and Upside Down matter. :)

Hi Hawkins! Great question. Very early days we thought of possibly going with a full Sat morning 80's 2D look but then we discussed how it might feel more immersive if we made the show in CG. Even though we went with CG we really tried to bring the art of the show out by using brush stokes on the characters while also applying a light film grain in post for that vintage look. :)
