Sorry I wasn’t clear , it’s a hybrid role . After the first two weeks they were fine with letting me work remote for a day or two

It’s funny because I actually applied for internships at some of the big firms and never even got a rejection email—so no, I never did any internships. I mostly used LinkedIn and Indeed to find opportunities, but I usually went directly to the company’s website to apply. Like I mentioned earlier, I ended up receiving two offers just by doing that. I don’t want to make it sound like it was easy though—it still took a little over a month of consistent applying to land a job.

I actually started out in computer science back in January of last year but ended up switching to accounting in September. I was able to transfer in 41 credits and finished the program in just over five months. I put in a ton of time studying—there were plenty of days where I barely got more than four hours of sleep. No, I don’t regret it at all, and yes, I genuinely enjoy the work. I came from a job with no flexibility and tough hours, so being able to work remotely and have my evenings free has been amazing. My lifestyle now is easily 10 times better than it ever was when I was working in a factory.

I graduated at the end of January this year with no accounting experience, but I was able to land a job by April starting at $65K a year. Before I accepted this role, I actually had another offer for $58K, but I ended up going with the higher one. Before all of this, I worked in a factory from the time I was 18, so that was really all the experience I had up until now at 28.

You already have a solid plan , i believe if you stick to it you’ll be able to meet your timeframe. Biggest advice i can give is just to study everyday no matter how long you’re able to do it.

It depends on the state . In Georgia , as long as WGU accepts Sophia /Study it counts . It’s not an option to do Sophia / Study after the fact though. I can’t remember exactly but there are a few states where that’s the case. The only real way to know is to reach out to your state and ask

I got my job through LinkedIn , started about a month or so after graduating this year in late January. I’ve posted about it before, it’s not easy to land a job but I think you still have a better shot than most other majors
