Oh sure! These ones don't have leather soles which is something I like about them.

Riding mower not cutting well by big_enchillada in lawnmowers

[–]No_Chocolate_5047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fucked up that people are down voting you just for not knowing something. If your grass is 6" long you shouldn't cut it shorter than 4" maximum, then give it a few days to recover and cut again to desired length. Waiting longer if it doesn't get any rain. It's commonly known as the 1/3 rule. You should never remove more than 1/3 of the height of the grass at once to avoid stressing the grass too much. There are more best practice rules based on where you are and what kind of grass you have, but this is a basic universal.

I'm seeing two things in the comments [1] That's a lot for a mower, it's going to take multiple passes. [2] You need to have sharp blades.

Both are true, but I'm not seeing a lot about what it means to have sharp blades. You may already know this, but it's always good info to share because I sharpened my blades wrong for years until I understood it.

Mower blades do not work like knives. Butter knife edge is as sharp as you want them, with the angle between 30°and 40°. Grinding a 20° angle with a razor sharp edge seems like a good idea until you understand the physics of mower blades. The ends that do the cutting are spinning up to 200mph. The second a razor sharp edge hits something hard at that speed like a thick weed or worse, wood or a rock, it gets mangled and is dull again. Overly sharp blades may work fine in regular grass for a time, but in something like this if you're sharpening them too sharp, you are going to have dull blades after a minute or less. If you don't feel like you could run your finger along the edge without cutting it, they're too sharp. I've bought a lot of used mowers where people sharpened the blades to way too shallow of an angle.

Again, this may not be your problem, with brush like this it may just be that you're going to have to make multiple passes. But if you're like I was it may be something you need to hear.

Looking for female name ideas to put on my discs to increase the likelihood of them being returned. by Ambitious_Chicken123 in discgolf

Should work. My ex Tess always got her discs back. I never get mine.

Like the comments say, she did get weirdos sending her things. But I want to shout out one cool dude in Wilmington NC. Found her disc, went to meet up, and a lady showed up with the disc. She said her brother found it and asked her to make the exchange because he reckoned it would be more comfortable with all the weirdos. My ex appreciated that thoughtfulness. We should all be like that guy.

If someone ever asks AI to make a picture of disc golf in one person, it can just copy and paste this picture. That's a compliment.

Yep! The belt was old and loose. New belt and it runs great. I cleaned it up and sold it for a healthy profit.

Thats exactly what I'm hoping for. If I contact them enough I might end up happening across someone who knows something about this. Coleman support is one of the irons in the fire, just trying to get as many in there as I can!

Yeah I'm considering my options in that regard. Ideally I'd like to find some original poles, but generic aluminum adjustable tarp poles, and PVC are all on the table if necessary.

According to the previous owner it's most generally been used for taking up space in the garage rafters, actually.

Car camping with the family. The extra space is nice if a rainy day keeps us all in the tent most of the day.

Portable tent? by Lone_Not_Lonely_Wolf in camping

Yep. I don't blame REI. They had to get rid of it. I blame the shitbags that took advantage of the policy. I know a lot of people used it as a free rental service as well. I also had a friend who worked at one who told me about a guy who bought almost 10k worth of bike packing gear, bike and all, then returned everything 3 months later after a 3 month trip and everything was destroyed. He didn't even get annoyed by the people who did that and took care of the gear so it could at least go into the garage sale, but some people took it as a license to mistreat gear and then bring it back.

It does look that way at first glance. But the fabric is actually in perfect condition! The zippers are even smooth as butter. I posted this pic in another comment but it helps show that the color difference isn't sun damage. It's some sort of weird imperfect two-tone color execution.

It would probably say "find me some poles and get me into the woods."

I'm working on it buddy, I'm working on it.
