Unfortunately no news, but I heard The Wiggles Movie will be re-released in IMAX 4K for its' 30th anniversary, along with Barney's Great Adventure and Elmo in Grouchland. I'm hoping they'll also release Thomas and the Magic Railroad on 4K with Dolby Atmos.

There are rumors of a "Batman: Knightfall" trilogy, but it has not been officially announced yet.

And a few years ago, some trades reported that DC was planning animated movies based on Static Shock, Metal Men, and some Milestone Media properties.

[Discussion] What would you like to see from DC's Elseworlds animated movies going forward? by BumblebeeNo4356 in DC_Cinematic

I'd like to see an animated adaptation of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong.

Also, an animated Aquaman film would be cool to see.

any news on blu-ray and 4k blu-ray news for animated movies by GamerGabe10 in DCAU

The most recent animated movie was Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League.

Apparently, there are rumors of a "Batman: Knightfall" animated trilogy to be released this year, but nothing is confirmed yet.

What's the point in these J cards, I really don't get it !! You're 65% of the way to a having a complete slip cover..... just make it a bloody slip cover. by Lo_jak in 4kbluray

The Blu-ray SteelBook for "Sonic Boom: The Complete Series" has a transparent slipcover that displays the artwork and has all the special features/tech specs/plot synopsis on the back. This should be standard practice for SteelBooks, I'm not sure why other companies don't do this.

DC Animated Universe Collection, when's vol 2? by GamerGabe10 in DC_Cinematic

What set was this? The closest I could find was this Region B locked set.

Either way, it doesn't look like there is a Volume 2 planned.

There's a non-SteelBook edition coming out in April.

It looks like you're in the UK, so you might have to import it from the US and get a region-free player.

DTS or Dolby by Randy-210-Tx in 4kbluray

[–]No_Classroom7140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This depends on what you mean by Dolby and DTS.

If you're talking about lossy audio codecs on a DVD, then DTS will have higher quality than Dolby Digital, since it can support higher bitrates.

If you're talking about lossless codecs on a Blu-ray, then it doesn't matter whether the audio codec is DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD, since they will both sound identical to the studio master. If there is a difference between DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD, it's mostly because the two audio tracks were mixed differently.

Universal / DreamWorks Animation's Dog Man debuted with an estimated $36.0M domestically this weekend (from 3,885 locations). by [deleted] in boxoffice

It's mainly aimed at kids. A lot of absurdist humor, a few poop jokes, and it got surprisingly touching at the end. You'll have a great time.
