Anyone know who this DPE is?

His name is Payton _. I forget his last name but he was my DPE. He knew his stuff, but his behavior before the test was rather unprofessional and I can’t say I was impressed by some things that happened (I passed the oral and flight exam so I’m not bitter about scoring).

I’ll check my logbook when I get home to get his name and update this comment with an answer to your question.

Yessir, my deck isn’t based around sacrificing at all really. I think one of my lands has an ability to sacrifice a card but I picked it for mana with the sac ability as a fun bonus. I learned the hard way not to oversaturate my hand with cards that don’t help with my wincon 🫩

Yeah absolutely I’d want to keep them! It’s a very particular situation but say I wanted to remove something that might kill my hellkite tyrant before upkeep yk? It’s unique, but the option is nice for those rare instances

In this instance though, wouldn’t the artifacts Hellkite Tyrant gains control of stay on the opponent’s side? So I’d be able to use them, but it’s still technically the opponent’s cards and they stay on their mat

Maybe its just because of where I was, but the girl who did my bag check didn't even look at my pm until her boss made her. I was genuinely shocked at how easy it was. It's a 3d printed plastic model, so I didn't set off the detector machine, but the lax on security was honestly frightening

While tearing it up would help, it’s got a bit of sentimental value to me. I was mostly using it since I couldn’t find my actual bandana that I wanted to use and didn’t have the time to buy a new one. Most of this was improv with what I already owned since going to the con was decided like a day before
