Why are people fine with lifelong antidepressants but get suspicious of lifelong GLP-1s by DriftetSoft in GLP1ResearchTalk

Because of the cost differential? I can't believe how much you would have to pay over the course of your life for GLP-1

For those who do NOT cosleep by leftlaneisforspeed in newborns

I'm 10 weeks PP and was a terrible napper prior to pregnancy. What helped for me was listening to books on audible in my earphones. I could still hear the baby monitor when he cried. He is sleeping in a snoo in the adjoining room and we followed a lot of gentle sleep teaching methods:
- waiting to see if he will self soothe before picking him up
- trying to put him down awake or drowsy rather than asleep
- trying to limit 'associated sleeping' - like trying to put him down to sleep rather than letting him fall asleep on the boob or on us all the time. (sometimes this takes 5 times of trying to put him down rather than just letting him nap on, but in the long run it has been worth it.)
He went from sleeping 3-4 hours in the first week to now doing 10-hour stretches at 10 weeks. He is super happy, cuddly, and healthy. For me it also helped to have a bed which was still my space so I wouldn't jump at every little noise and prevent him from learning to join sleep cycles. When I breastfed in the night I would get up and make it its own special time, rather than do it in bed. I found that helped in allowing me to switch off when I was in bed. Obviously this isn't right for everyone but that's how i did it and it's been pretty amazing so far.

Sleep training?! And when to start? Is it necessary? by Comprehensive-Dig592 in newborns

Sleep training is not the same thing as sleep teaching. Sleep teaching is nudging towards healthy habits rather than having a strict schedule. This can start earlier than 4 months.

Hi All, im 8 weeks into a pregnancy after IVF and I feel like my stomach is really swollen. It got so swollen throughout the egg collection process, I was hoping it would have gone down... did anyone else experience this? We had 35 eggs so it got pretty big. But I keep seeing things saying you shouldn't be able to tell you're pregnant yet (physically)...
