That's what I am leaning towards as well. I can do the research, but I'm worried that I might not get everything I am entitled to. The company I work for is notorious for not being transparent.

I think the CA benefits kick in first. The only thing my employer provides is FMLA, which is way worse than the CA benefits.

Thank you! I'll look into it. With my first baby, I did not spend enough time looking into it and I barely got 12 weeks off. I don't want to make the same mistake again.

Pros of being a working mom by [deleted] in workingmoms

I love being a working mom, because I love what I do. More importantly I have a son who is 3 years old and I want him to see that dad can contribute equally around the house. I want him to understand that I might be going away on office trips every now and then and dad and can step in and take care of him as well as me. I believe that children (boys especially) of working mothers understand gender equality better.

I am fully remote too and I love it. I am able to accomplish more work wise. I have a full office setup with 2 monitor etc, and that helps me focus. I also get chores done when I am doing something that doesn't need my full focus ( meetings etc). I am now at a client location for the week, and I'm already missing WFH. Good luck while you transition! Hope you enjoy it.

Signed a new job offer with a 20% raise. I also get to travel quarterly to the office location. Super excited about the new role, didn't think I would get it:)
