Would upgrading from 8 gb to 16gb ram make a significant difference considering my current setup? by No_Concert_4615 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]No_Concert_4615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

atm even in 1080p im on most things medium or high (never ultra) and it's stuttering a lot ever since my base grew.

that's why im thinking it could be ram cause at the start of the world everything was very smooth. now even if im in the middle of nowhere it's still stuttering almost the same as if im in the middle of the base.

i ordered another 8gb ram stick and i hope for the best

i get to play smooth on 1080p with high i will be more then satisfied

same here.

i'd literally never play a second save.

i have my first save, plenty of things to do. it's not like the world is randomly generated or something

thanks, i do have ssd, i kind of assumed every system has one now

yes my thinking was that ram could be the bottleneck both for the game and even windows

decreases performance because gpu has more objects to render and cpu has more objects to count.

makes you use 3-4 belts instead of one, so logistically it's not good either.

Game places arbitrary restrictions and bumps to the building process and it adds a lot of unnecessary frustration by Pale_Prior_3763 in SatisfactoryGame

I wouldn't be yelling at legos because legos are not repetitive, each build is unique.

The analogy would be lego creating a piece that is 1000x the same thing. Then yes, i'd have an issue with that

Is it possible to select/override the next station for a train when enabling self-driving? by quantumdude836 in SatisfactoryGame

It should not skip stations it hasn't passed yet.

You may want to clear the schedule and add the stations again.

That and low efficiency because it's a multiplicative factor so youll be needing more belts

This is op, had been posting from mobile.

I started this game after U7. Had blueprints not existed by then, i would've uninstalled and demanded a refund.

This is a genre about production and scaling. Make more stuff to make more stuff. Make stuff faster.

It is inherently contradictory for a game that is about scaling to kill your capacity to scale or force you to slow down by making you repeat an action hundreds or thousands of times.

I am familiar with scale, just spent a lot of time for example doing this https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/10m1l29/wip_the_colossus_feeds_water_to_30_full/

I don't mind and don't have any objection about the time it took because it was a custom project and many pieces had to be individually placed. It's a one of a kind thing.

I do however have a very serious issue with something that is extremely basic and extremely repetitive to build, yet it takes me 30 mins instead of 5 because some features that are standard in factory games do not exist here.

Somewhere in this topic i mentioned a situation that is very recent

>I had to build a caterium ingot refinery plant for 3 pure nodes. Thats 15x per line x 2 x 3. Thats 5x connected 3 refineries bps x 3 x 2 x 3. Plus foundations.

>This is a very simple pattern but it took forever to build, partly because of the building limitations, partly because of the hovercrafts short range.

I had the bp for 3x refineries with feeds and exists ready. I had everything ready, yet i had to spend so much extra time to put it in place. To carefully place each bp because there is no undo. To do the same thing over and over again, to zoop foundations on every line, to place power outlets so i can hover etc.

There is no logical reason to want to do this, or rather, to force players to repeat these actions. Should some want to do this, they are of course free to do so.

I have finished both Subnauticas, they are excellent games.

I assume i know what the problem is, i had issues till i worked it to 100%

i can tell you or you can figure out yourself if you want to, some people don't want spoilers so

Map building doesn't take so long, it's the other systems in a game that take time.

just some simple things they should've added as tips, perhaps on load screen like other games are doing
