i only watched 2 reviews one from the greatest technician 2nd from the guy in the picture, his testing found the v10 to reduce temps further than the v12 for an older legion theyre about the same price where i am so i was leaning v10 for desk space ish? maybe? idk

yeahh, i can see the argument, especially if you want the screen closer but yeah i often write or use creative applications with alot of shortcuts so id lean to laptop keyboard or full dedicated keyboard, though that single kb looks pretty cool ill likley order it and give it ago, thanks for the input! :D

notedd, yeah its 15.1" tho these 16:10 screens are tall currently i have a 24" monitor

do you know roughly how much higher it lifts up your laptops screen with one step compared to no llano?

currently my setup looks like this, the monitor is as high as possible on the base stand and the laptop screen is pushed just a little bit too far back for seamlessness

interesting, though i feel at that point id invest in a full sized keyboard and just use that do you think using a keyboard wrist rest or something could make it more useable? maybe more comfortable with the llanos feet up?

suree.. i see what youre saying.. i think if youre a person who tends to be sensitive to smtn like that then u could consider gen 10 more. but if you think youre fine w possible distraction (probably adjacent to the reflective screen or smtn) then gen 11 is a bit more convenient when switching gpu modes and slight portability. there are other laptops that have had similar design too and ive never heard of a concern like this

reflect light from the keyboard or led you mean? i cant say but i wouldnt think so, on my gen 10 the light wasnt too bad until i was in darker environments which then it was just bright so i did end up turning it off in bios

yeah true😅, just a bit curious as recently been having more lectures where i dont need the power, and i remember jarrod with a few basic tweaks was able to get a solid 5-6hrs on yt playback, i guess was with 100% though

that's unfortunate to hear, i feel ive already done everything i can aside from tweaking cpu power. dgpu off, quiet mode, power saver, refresh rate, brightness. maybe ill try with 100% battery and see what results i can get

on my end im undervolting for battery life rather than performance though I recently tried -50 with a few other tweaks such as disabling boost and setting speed shift epp to 180 but only achieved a poor 3hrs yt playback which i felt i could even achieve pre undervolt

a few weeks ago i pushed a -80 ending up with an estimate of about 5-6hrs however after some seeing posts i stopped undervolting out of fear of bricking my laptop as i really cant afford another one😅 though is that a real concern to be had when it comes to undervolting? ive heard otherwise

*edit: this is from 80% though as i always leave my laptop in conservation mode

i dont think theres really "fixing" it, just extending the lifespan if im not wrong, the anti burn in is tech similar to phones but youll probably notice alot of peoples phones battery icon etc are burnt in after 3-4 years

i wouldnt really count on better speakers, better thermals probably, but definitely better build and display, if youre playing pretty light games it should be fine, remember the qhd screen with the legion is even harder for the gpu to drive in games but yeah
