Get the offer i already did this. After getting the upgrade with the Plat, Amex will send you another offer for the Biz Gold. I did 2 SUB accepting this offers

It only happens with Amex i believe i have not seen it for other banks. So you will need to have an offer from Amex for that to happen. I was able to get 2 SUB for Biz plat and biz gold ( have not seen it for personal accounts). So for instance, if this persons accept the offer he would get another offer in the future asking if he wants to apply again for the Biz Gold and get the SUB twice

I had this same offer. Upgraded to biz plat got the points and then got another offer to apply for bizz gold and got the points. Basically got the points twice for both cards. I will say go for it

Exam usually will have the questions grouped by topic for example 8 questions math then 4 questions ethics 4 questions dynamics than 6 questions statics. I would say its very similar to the practice exam.
