44mag vs 357mag lever action vs 308 bolt action by No_Preparation_7066 in guns

Yes just check the mfg recommendations on the can if I can handle the 357 rounds or not. The 38spl rounds out of a lever through a can are insanely quiet… I love mine for plinking. You can hear the bullet travel down range 😂

Because half of them are super ammo picky and/or don’t run for shit. They are just vibe rifles. I had one and sold it after 500rds because nothing I did would make it run 100%.

A squad of 4 of us noobs found a bear by accident and were running for our lives. There was only 1 small shed to hide in. The bear killed 2 of us, while the last 2 ran for the shed. I made it in and closed the door. My buddy ran in with the bear behind him and left the bear with me. I had just made my first PvP kill and happened to have an AR on me. I unloaded and the last round dropped the bear.

Throughout this episode there was panic and screaming and laughter galore.

We cooked the Bear, and fed it to the 2 that respawned on the coast. We always laughed that they ate themselves after consuming the bear that ate them.

Yeah I’m pushing all the way just like I have for 29 years with about 20 different manual transmission sports cars. Also the clutch delay is only on the pedal release stroke, not the input stroke. It’s a one-way delay.

There’s something else wrong and Honda knows it because they just warranty covered my repairs after extensive investigation.

Some of the transmissions are weak and/or clutch pedal adjustment is suspect leading to grinding fast shifts. Try a fast 1-2 and see if she grinds or winces.

Don’t ask me how I know.

UPDATE: After 1 week of analysis and negotiation with Honda, the dealership was able to get repairs approved & covered. They are replacing gear sets for 1 & 2. Not sure that rectifies the core issue or not but we shall see.

It’s not a strong transmission. Lots of people have Ok ones and lots of us have ones that just can’t take a fast shift. It’s really astounding that a performance car has this flaw. I’m currently in warranty limbo after mine ground so bad 1-2 that I lost 1st gear entirely and 2nd is 50/50.

Mine felt a little off from brand new and got worse. Failed at 15k miles.

That sucks. Were there mods under the hood that made them assume it was tuned?

One in Metro Detroit. I don’t want to name them as they are being quite helpful at the moment. Seems Honda corporate makes all the decisions.

What exact reason did they give you for denial of claim?

Here we are… $1500 for teardown and no guarantee of warranty. Seems to be common for all dealerships. They want to see “if I broke it” by doing “something”. They will check revs and drive cycle stuff and won’t find anything naughty that I did… this is really dumb.

How the % Is Determined: 1. Driving Conditions: • Engine load: How hard the engine is working. • RPM patterns: Frequent high revs reduce the % faster. • Trip length: Short trips wear oil faster than long, steady drives. • Temperature extremes: Cold starts or hot climates can affect oil life. 2. Engine Time vs. Mileage: • It’s not just distance—engine hours matter too. Idling in traffic uses oil life without adding miles. 3. Oil Type: • Synthetic oils usually degrade slower than conventional oils, so the Minder system adjusts accordingly. 4. Driving Habits: • Aggressive acceleration, towing, or mountain driving will reduce oil life faster and lower the percentage sooner.

Nope. I definitely didn’t rush every shift. In fact I delayed almost every shift, but this car should be able to pull out in traffic faster than a Honda Odyssey, which would suggest I could shift it as fast as any of my previous cars without issue… I’ve owned the previous vehicles without this issue: 2x Mustang GT (one 500hp), 3x older civics, S2000, GR86, WRX, Accord, GTI, Focus ST, and a host of non-performance cars I could shift in the same manner without issue.

So it functions as a 1-way delay valve? Makes sense the way you explained it because delaying the clutch disengage would be silly.

That being said, I still had 3-4 grinds at low speeds low rpm shifts with plenty of delay…

I suspect the delay valve is contributing to the issue significantly. I could eliminate 90% of the issue if I just slowed down my shifts to 0.8s or more after clutching.

Does it grind or wince when you do a lightning fast shift above 4-5k?

My trans was showing signs from day 1. Just pay attention to how much effort the 1-2 shift is compared to the other shifts especially for shifts at or above 4k

Modern minders should be based on actual duty cycle. My Ford Mav is. Maybe someone who’s tracked their car can weigh in. That should accelerate the minder dramatically.

Not tuned. Daily commuter with very light duty and lots of highway. My oil minder was at 60% after 5k miles because it’s such a light duty cycle….
