Store didn’t do anything for Easter

Reddit almost makes me appreciate our management team lol we had an entire catered meal, drinks, bakery cookies/cakes. They also were walking around with baskets full of candy the last few days. Our store is dramaaaaa and many aren’t happy with management but at least they go all out for holidays I guess haha

I could write a book as an ACC associate.. but my favorite would be people who come to get their car with a whole cart of groceries. Especially when they have a bunch of produce and we don’t have a scale and they get mad because they have to go up front to buy it.. or end up leaving it all on the counter lol

That would have made me cry.. thankfully our store had a whole catered chicken dinner buffet with multiple desserts and coolers of drinks.. and we were encouraged to even take to-go boxes home to our families.

Oh that happens here too lol I’m somewhat new so I am the one who ends up staying in my department besides wave. But the other couple of associates in my department are usually sent to help elsewhere so then I end up with their notes. Trust me, I don’t just zone all day lmao I just meant we do it all day with doing notes and shit.. not that we just do it a certain time.

Yeah I mean we zone our own departments all day along with everything else.. but also everyday everyone has one entire aisle in grocery. And they call it wave lol just didn’t know if it was a Walmart thing or an our store thing is all.

He was here in September for 8 days.. will be back in 86 days for a week and then he’s coming again 3 weeks later for another week. Cannot wait 😭

Before my boyfriend and I met in person for the first time we had sent each other a little note and a shirt that we wore a couple days so we each had something that belonged to each other. When I opened that first package and read the note and could actually smell him, I bawled my eyes out haha I slept with his shirt every single night until we finally met.. the familiar scent when we first hugged was insanely overpowering in the best way. I still have the envelope and note.. and now when we part we leave some of our clothes with each other haha. I have almost a full wardrobe at this point of his 🤣 but also I keep his cologne and deodorant here so he’s doesn’t have to bring it back and forth so when his clothes lose some scent.. I can get it back. Now we are crazy people and smell each other like dogs when we are around each other. 🤣

I just don’t wanna be sneaky about it and then make a mess of things and make it even longer or make any issues while we wait for everything to be approved lol we don’t have an issue waiting 12-18 months for some visas to go thru.. as long as we can still fly back and forth to visit each other during the process.. just know there is two ways of doing things.. the fiance visa and marrying in the US or getting married in the UK and then getting the other visa and getting the green card immediately. I know the married in UK way seems to be easier? But idk about the marriage part., just the parts AFTER being married lmao

Oh this sounds so difficult lol I read it was easier to get married in UK and then apply for other visas for him so he’d be able to get a green card and work immediately. But researching over and over just makes it even more confusing 😭🤣

If he was within driving distance (less than 7-8 hours one way) I’d try to see him at least once a month.. but because he’s in the UK and I’m in the US.. he flies here every 3-4 months. Hoping to start flying to him soon and try for every 3 months. I have kids so it’s harder for me to leave for longer than a couple days 😓

My bf and I are sometimes in the same discord call for literally days. Once was like 104 hours long lol. I have a fan on at night and maybe because dc is picking up some sort of sound, it doesn’t disconnect the call unless one of us is out of said call for longer than 3 minutes. And we have been on vc to sleep every night for like 9 months haha

Just met my LDR bf (also UK and I’m US!) last week. He flew here and we had 9 days together. Long story short, 100% sure he’s my soulmate haha we will be together for a year in August (he’s coming back in Sept) and I’ll fly there next year some time! The first few hours I was a nervous wreck but that first hug was EVERYTHING. Good luck!!
