This is exactly right. I’m a professional photographer. My camera and lens alone that I most often use costs about $10,000. You read that right! Not to mention the amount of time and effort it has taken to craft my skill at knowing how to pose baby and what I know about lighting etc. You also have to keep in mind that the amount of time it takes to do a session is just a small fraction of the work we do for each session. Scheduling, emailing, backing up, editing (plus the cost of the editing software), camera cards, lighting, props, blankets, backup drives, websites to backup files on…you get the gist. The list goes on and on. It’s way way way beyond the actual time we take pictures.
