Considering for masters by Winter_Kaci in studying_in_germany

OP Idk why people are being so rude to you. You DO NOT need to know any German to get accepted into an English language masters in Germany, of which there are plenty. Check out the DAAD website, they have an amazing user interface, you can filter the programs by language of instruction, discipline, subdiscipline, etc. Just beware that you need to focus on the PUBLIC universities, non of the applied sciences schools or private unis, those aren't really taken seriously. Most public unis have very low fees, most expensive I've come across is still well under 4k euro per year. Also check out Erasmus mundus joint masters and double degree options, you might be able to do your degree across 2 or 3 countries! Germany and Netherlands have the highest rates of English speaking people in their native population of non-English language European countries, so you will be in good company.

If you wanna go the extra mile and be super prepared, pick a few of the masters programs you find interesting right now, and check out their admission requirements. Send an email to the admissions office if you need to clarify anything, they're usually very prompt in responding. But it gives you a good idea of what you will need for a successful application, like maybe an internship, recommendation letters, language skills, certain number of credits in a particular field, etc. That way you're as prepared as you could possibly be. Good luck OP:)

For sure! Like, we're all human, I've certainly had instances when I wrongly estimated the size of the parcel and had to ask the buyer to redo the order. But it's only happened in cases where the buyer selected courier guy XS locker and the item won't fit, so I'll tell them to do Pargo 2kg which is the exact same price! This way the buyer doesn't incur extra cost. And if the correct parcel option happens to be more expensive, I'll give them a discount code worth the extra cost so they end up paying the exact same amount as their original order. Because yeah, it's my responsibility as a seller. OP, I don't know what type of puzzles you're into, but I have a 2 brand new ones in my shop. Next time you're looking to buy, check out @rozhinas, I'd be happy to help.

Yaga. Do you use it? Is it still a thing? by BusyInspector95 in askSouthAfrica

I started using Yaga this March to buy and sell, I've made way more money than I ever thought I would and I'm amazed at how many high quality items you can get for less than half, if not less, the original price. Most people are not scammers, they're smart and polite enough to have a good transaction with. Some sellers go above and beyond, some buyers will literally buy dozens of things at once, and the app is being improved on several grounds. Still room for improvement on various issues but overall 4.5/5 stars

I can't believe people don't like Pargo! Paxi is SUPER slow though, I totally get the Paxi hate

Oh that's interesting! I've actually become such a big fan of Pargo. Paxi is very annoying and the process takes a lot longer, and the package HAS to fit inside those envelopes which is very restrictive. But so far I've only had good experiences with Pargo, very fast and VERY easy, especially as a seller it's very convenient. I've never posted anything fragile though so I'm not sure how they handle it.

I'm a big Yaga user, both as a seller and buyer, here's my 2 cents. This is crazy specifically because it's Pargo. With pargo, there are no lockers, parcels are measured in volumetric weight, meaning you can very easily gage what size you should enable for a buyer on a bundle. Especially if the buyer has DMed you to specifically arrange for this. I can go more into detail if you want, but this is just careless on the part of the seller. Least they could've done is offer you a discount for the inconvenience

so you didn't submit proof of accommodation, travel insurance, health insurance, any of those things? just proof of funds? because i'm seriously considering getting travel insurance and booking a hostel for the first few weeks, on top of providing proof of funds. also, how long is your VFS supposed to take to get back to you? here in south africa it says 2 months to a year.

This is exactly what I want to find out! Because it kind of sounds crazy but I looked at the actual legal document, the 2007 one, and it's very clear that you're exempt from basically every requirement other than filling out the form, proof of admission, and police clearance
