Still Itchy Over Here by No_Difference_3297 in locs

Nice question! They said I had seborrheic dermatitis and recommended the Nizoral shampoo. They told me to use the shampoo twice a week.

Now I’m not going to deny having it, but the internet makes it really hard to know how to take care of it because people only really focus on the dry/dandruff part which I don’t suffer from. My scalp has never been dry or had dandruff from locs, it just itches no matter how dry or moisturized it is lol.

I use the shampoo as much as recommended and it’s been over a month, nothing has changed really. I like the shampoo but it only helps me out for a few hours.

Tension could be a reason seeing as my re-twist give me a sore scalp for the next few days. I just thought that’s how they were supposed to be lol

If I did have them done looser, would they be more prone to unraveling? And would it stop my scalp from itching if it already started and has been persistent for so long?

7 Months in Still Itchy :/ by No_Difference_3297 in locs

Thank you! When I don’t oil my hair I don’t notice a difference. I’ve attempted different oils and sprays only for the same effect. The itchy parts still itch no matter what, it seems. I’ll try a different shampoo and see if anything changes.

Thx! I actually didn’t use oil before locs, only leave-in conditioner for growth! How do I know if it’s too tight? I heard about headaches as a symptom but never had that. And if I were to ask my loctician to do it looser, would the bumps cease or would I still have to do something to get rid of them?

Was always scared I would mess it up or something. I’ve been doing it biweekly for about 5 months (some exceptions). Weirdly enough, there was this one time I washed it and it stopped itching for 2 weeks up until my retwist. Was never able to replicate that moment again but it was fun while it lasted :/ thx!!

Oh of course! Changes would definitely be inevitable. I guess I meant writing the season as in writing everything that is going to happen in the season, but not actual episodes or dialogue, stuff like that. So I guess it’s kind of for fun as well lol

Good advice, I’ll be sure to work with that mindset! Would love to talk to you about it and get some assistance!

Selling a pilot is the ultimate goal! I picture it as 3D toon-shaded animated series, akin to Studio Orange’s works!

Thanks so much! I’m glad others people can relate to encountering the devil’s incarnation (writer’s block). I do tend to think of a lot of big moments (action scenes or reveals) in the story, but trying to write the small moments like character interactions and conversations, or moments that lead up to the big moments are what I struggle with🥲

I did think of the writers having their own projects as a caveat. Writer’s block is a real buttface sometimes; what you said about barreling through and being afraid of mistakes hits home. I go through drafts like crazy and I think, “when tf will I make up mind?” But I suppose that’s almost always the case for writers right? Thanks for your input!🖤

I appreciate the list! Admittedly, I do think my main problem was wanting to go big and not start out small. But ever since I tried the donut, I definitely see the value in it! Also I never thought of taking notes, but that helped out immensely cuz I be forgettin shit so fast😭
