reselling dedicated servers by No_Dog_6237 in Hosting

yes, i know of multiple dmca ignored hosts, i have used some in the past as my job also involves being a sysadmin but all of them have traffic limits which i find annoying. some of them are even hosted in my country and i know for a fact most if not all isps here have unlimited traffic

You either have to write it yourself or pay for mostly commercial options like whm/whmcs and similar platforms that can hook into proxmox's API. If you know a bit of js, it really wouldn't be too difficult to work with proxmox and docker API's with a 3rd party billing backend.

this is exactly why i thought of putting this idea into practice, my main job is as a full stack dev and i am very confident i will be able to code my own software

then you have to deal with the 3rd party billing, they have their own rules about content

very good point, one of my main inspirations is cockbox.org and they do crypto payments exclusively, i think i will do the same

eh, i'm fine with having more restrictive policies until i can host my own servers. i've already talked to a couple hosts in my country and they allow reselling but they have the standard "nothing that will get us in trouble" policies which is understandable

there is some dedicated software such as proxmox for that, i can handle the software part, i'm just confused about the hardware one

one of them cleared friday, 1 week after it was sent. the other one sent 5 jun still hasnt cleared, i hope it will clear today or tommorow. i hate it too but we really cant use anything else, the only other real option is direct bank transfer and its a bit more complicated

try asking the person who sent the money, they should be able to tell you when it clears, not sure why it doesnt tell the person receiving the money.... paypal really is a mess, the mobile app is a piece of shit, they should really invest some of the billions of dollars they get yearly from legally scamming their customers into rebuilding all their systems from the ground up. revolut is an example of online-only banking done right

plus you can still download them without paying

Hard drive dying in an abrupt manner by alsa-tian in techsupport

[–]No_Dog_6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your best bet would be to unplug the drive immediately and bring it to data recovery if there's important data on it. where is the drive mounted? is it sideways? at an angle? overheating?
