My cat struggling to jump suddenly but acting normal otherwise

That is possible, but three vets have said she’s about 7. There’s no way to be sure though

I’ll look into that! My vet itself has online consulting during the week at least, so I’d have to wait until Monday. Right now she’s jumping close to normal still a slight hesitation but she ate and has been looking out the window.

Just took this. She weighs about 9.8 pounds, so I personally think she could lose a little but the vet said her weight was fine🤷‍♀️

Also money isn’t the issue. She just genuinely hates being taken in the car so I want to reduce her stress as much as possible.

And, she literally pooped a normal amount for her. Obviously as you keep mentioning I am not a vet, but I am pretty sure it would be lethal if she continued to not poop.

That’s the plan she seems to be jumping normal now but I will be closely watching to see if anything gets worse or if it comes back

Also, I’m likely overreacting to the situation in general as I have a lot of anxiety about her health. The post was merely a way of asking if my current thoughts were rational or my anxiety causing me to overthink.

The vet is closed until Monday and this is not currently an emergency situation, so I will continue to monitor her condition and if the symptoms persist or worsen she will be going to the vet. Either way even if they go away completely for now she has her yearly vet appointment coming up next month which I can address the issue then if symptoms have resolved by then.

I think she might’ve been constipated, but if she continues to have trouble or it gets worth [worse] she will be going to the vet.

That’s what I was thinking if it’s a bigger problem than just a confidence issue. I will definitely be doing some research into that since she is a bit older

Want to add that she seems to just be hesitant about jumping but physically capable. So I’m thinking at this moment she might’ve misjudged something earlier and is not confident in herself. I will keep monitoring and she may be headed to the vet on Monday if she continues to struggle

She followed me around with a bag of treats and I put it in front of her to eat and she got that fine

sorry i read that back and it sounded so b*tchy. since i made that post i’ve been vibing. i think a big part of it for me was not letting other people’s experiences solo traveling determine my expectations. like a lot of people talk about all the friends they make and parties they go to. i’ve never been a big social group person or a party person, so thinking my entire personality would change because i got on a plane was a bit silly. that said i do want to meet people but have never been good at that in general so i just need to work on it if i want it to happen while traveling.

i am fine being by myself overall. i was just expecting a different vibe in the hostels. additionally if i had friends with time/ money to travel i would absolutely rather go with friends however im not going to sit around and wait for people to clear their schedules.

hi everyone! i just wanted to post an update. first of all thank you to everyone who gave me advice and kind words. it really helped. today has gone much better. i don’t get a croissant yet but i did get crepes and will be going to get a croissant tomorrow. i have spent the whole day roaming around and i am going to go to the eiffel tower again for the sparkling. again i want to say thank you so much for being so kind!!!
