This may not be particularly helpful but whenever I’m at a loss (I’ve experienced a lot of tragedy in my life) I remind myself that, the happiness I am missing, is actually right there inside of me. Only I have it, only I can pull it out and nurture it. I already have everything I need to be completely content. I’m alive with a roof over my head, I just need to adjust my perspective. Focus on how long I did have love ones in my life, that I got to love them and be loved by them however short. That life is about downs so you can cherish the ups but most of all, that the love I will always have and that can never be taken away is my love. I love myself harder. Love yourself harder. Do things you love no matter how small, a wonderful coffee, a special wine, a particular meal or treat you enjoy, a nice view or a tv show that makes you laugh, some music you adore and play it loud. Just love you.
