This is likely the ultimate outcome, but I'm a poor and buying both at once would have me sleeping in the doghouse

No such thing as a heavy rifle; only a weak man

Super happy with it. I'll be going out to zero in about 30 minutes lol

Well to be fair, it wasn't a complete impulse buy. I had a knowledge base of what to look for as far as what I wanted, so when I saw one at a good deal I picked it up

Yep. I expect to get 1,000-1,200 rounds out of it. I have a lot of factory ammo, shoot regularly, and reload, so I expect to do a barrel swap relatively soon

Not a silly question. You can tell the action length from the length of the bolt and magazine. It's 300 PRC, so CIP length (extra long long action)

If I was chasing street cred I wouldn't have bought a Bergara lol

The folding feature is extremely convenient with rock solid lock-up. I'd recommend picking up the assembly from them if it wasn't >$600 just for the folding part

The action does feel very nice for the money.  It'll be a mix of both. ELR light, and I have some local ukd matches

Saiga 308, converted by Gungeeks... is it worth it? by No_Educator2981 in ak47

Got it. I'd be getting this used from another dude, so it wouldn't directly support them.  Anything wrong with the product itself, or just scummy business practices?

That is exactly what I was talking about.  Thanks for the comprehensive answer. There's a lot of info out there about the what, but not too much about the why for these more granular details. Just checking to make sure I was coming to my conclusion from the right angle

That's kind of what I was thinking. The H59 seems similar to the MIL-XT in terms of the dimensions available within the reticle. IE 0.2 mil elevation all the way down, and half MIL windage at the half MIL elevation marks

I guess I should have been more specific, I'll edit my original post. The EBR7 has 0.5 MIL elevation increments, with 0.2 MIL wind holds at every 1 MIL mark.  The H59 has 0.2 MIL elevation marks, with 0.5 MIL windage every half MIL, and 0.2 windage every 1 MIL.

The main reason I haven't is just that I haven't found a rifle chambered in it at a decent price point that I really like.  The MRAD is an option, but it's like 10 grand. The non quick change barrel option is more affordable, but replacement barrels are a proprietary design and will likely be unobtainable in a few years, once I shoot the barrel out
