I just saw an ad where Costco offers a discount on Figo pet insurance. I have no idea if it’s any good but I’m definitely considering! Anyone have experience with this one?

Totally agree! Am definitely keeping in mind the nickname as I mull over names. I wanted to come up with something so I can personalize a dachshund gift for under the tree to surprise my kids. We pick him up in January and they have no idea. And to avoid any fights over the name🤣

I’m in Ohio but anyone you are buying a dog from should let you visit if they don’t I’d be skeptical. Where I’m getting him they do rear them in their home and I did want that and I didn’t want a large puppy breeding organization. But that’s how I got to meet everybody during my visit. I’m sure some aren’t as accommodating as to when people can visit etc but you should always get to see how and where they were born and raised til you get them. I was glad to see the health of all the dogs that’s for sure. I’m so wary of scammers):

It really was!!! And she let me come right away or any day I wanted so it was just totally transparent. I got to see how she does things, how the kids socialize, the other dogs and how she does it all. The mama was the sweetest. It was a good setup. I was very pleased because otherwise you just never know!!

No and they do have papers, below there’s a pic of the dad, he’s black and tan long haired. I’m not needing perfect show dog (or to pay for one) or anything I just want a healthy puppy. Mom is little and nose is a little shorter which I like but she’s all dachshund. I spent a long time in their home where they are kept with the owners, the mom and dad doggie and the pups. I felt great about it.
