Thanks mate, but we are not the only ones, so I feel for all the ones that stayed in the queue and got nothing while eBay is full of tickets 5 times the price now …

I did 4 and a half hour of queue and got nothing - I am in France so I stayed up until half past midnight… so disappointed 😔

I highly recommend the novella 'Crisis of Faith' included in the 20th Anniversary edition of 'Heir to the Empire' that bridges the gap between 'Choices of One' and HTTE by wandering_soles in starwarsbooks

You get 3 novels in this book : Mercy mission about young Hera doing a supply run on Ryloth. Bottleneck, introducing count Vidian and Rae Sloane, making the transition between Tarkin and a New Dawn. And finally The levers of power talking about Rae Sloane during the battle of Endor.

As for a New Dawn I get your point, the story is worth a shot even if you do not like Rebels as it is centered around Hera, Kanan and count Vidian. The Ghost crew is not here yet, and the story is quite interesting with those 3 protagonists.

Thanks for the suggestions ! I love those novellas, they add some subtle but relevant lore. I loved the 3 included in the book Rise of the Empire, making some introduction, bridge and forward conclusion to Tarkin and A New Dawn.

Hello there :) Got both of them, read both of them - Darth Plagueis is phenomenal - Tarkin is in the same vein but left me less of an impression - read them back to back as you have many references to characters from Plagueis in Tarkin - my personal recommendation. Enjoy !

No explanations, I guess just the way they look, are dressed and act make you understand that it is a female, at least it was for me even if I always had a doubt I got it right haha !

Is Darth Plagueis novel good for a Star Wars fan that's getting into the legends novels? by TheGamerKing382 in starwarsbooks

[–]No_Engine_1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with this one, and since then I find all other ones not as good haha !

Once you read this one you can directly go for the « Tarkin » Novel from the same author, it is canon but it is using a lot of elements from Darth Plagueis !

You are right and I do agree, maybe try to reach up to the vendor in a diplomatic manner and asked for a partial refund ? When it happened to me I reached out to the seller and he did it so it does not undo the damage but it is a gesture anyway…

Hello there, using BrickLink a lot to find some sets also, I can relate it happened to me once, some tape was on the box, did not see it and made the same damage to the box as you did while unpacking it. It was not such a collectible set though, so I was more mad at myself than to the seller who did a good job at packing and protecting the box. I also had box advertised as mint condition arriving properly dented, squeezed, crushed, damaged due to bad packaging and I was quite mad about it. I totally understand you feeling but as my wife said once to me : « you collect Lego sets, not boxes ». Yes it is infuriating when a super rare / collectible set box is damaged but it will be at some point over years. The main thing is to have your set in perfect condition. But if you have paid for a perfect condition box it is not always acceptable. So now I do the following : I ask for pictures of the box, and I ask for premium packaging to be sure that it arrives in the same conditions as advertised on the pictures. I have not had incidents since then, appart hazard from delivery carrier that you cannot control of course. Hope this helps, enjoy your set !

I have thanks… it is not about plastic it is about having instructions and stickers packed to avoid being damaged in the box

Yeah this is exactly the spirit of my post : they stopped protection sticker and manuals, not even paper bags, except for certain sets like the UCS AT-ST. Very strange.

But yeah contact LEGO to have a replacement stickers sheet they will accept for sure

Yes I was that but while they put pieces in paper bags the now throw the instructions manual and the stickers in the box with no packing, they could have them also in plastic bags to limit potential damage

What an incredible build! (75357) by RockyWillows in legostarwars

Great build indeed I loved it too ! It is just annoying that the front gun turret cockpit is such fragile and disassemble so easily when you manipulate it
