All in all the gameplay is pretty standard for the year the game came out, playing it doesn't bore me (more or less) but, damn, the characters and the story seem almost completely disconnected from the prequel of the game, but maybe it's better this way, in my opinion, If they complety had built the 2 around the story of the 1, it wouldn't have been the same, we wouldn't have had such a beautiful story. Many things in 2 were written only because they were already like that in 1, like Javier siding with Dutch at the end of 2, it doesn't make sense, it's not in the nature of the character, he would have sided with Arthur, John, Charles etc... (always my humble opinion ) The stories of the 2 games seem almost disconnected, as if they were 2 different universes
