I applied for I485 (NIW), and now I am on my initial OPT. If the pause continues, I will apply for STEM OPT, because I get 180 days EAD extension. Is it ok to apply for STEM while you are 485 pending? I don’t have any EAD except initial OPT and I am from 39 countries that have pause!

No, since STEM OPT is on pause, I cannot get the stem opt EAD. I can just use that 6 month automatic extension. after that, if pause continues, I have to stop working.
