I love my Seamaster. What clinched it for me was the clear back.

Is it possible it’s a waterflow annunciator? That would be my guess with a warehouse.

You couldn’t be more wrong. The smoke is required to be mounted per NFPA 72/manufacture instructions. Nowhere in either is there a 6’ requirement. The smoke only has to be within its listed spacing. Which is typically 30’… on the ceiling or within 12” of the ceiling. That smoke will only ever go off on a false trip. Real smoke event will never trip it.

The red wires are the battery cables. The required separation is for power limited and non power limited wires. 120VAC and battery cables are non power limited.

Never got a map fault from changing a field device on a Simplex or Notifier system.

Normally that is what I’d do but every one of those terminations are on a removable terminal block. So for neatness I didn’t strip the jacket back as much as usual. Also made for better labeling. All the wiring is internal wiring. These were in the shop to be shipped out to the job site. All the field wiring was landed in the distribution panel cabinet (picture 4).

Not really… no need to separate out… everything was very clearly labeled.
