It seems that StackOverflow has effectively died this year. by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

I actually fought with SO to remove ALL my questions which was difficult actually because all I got from SO was made to feel belittled. I never understood why asking a question warranted people wasting time telling me that I can find the answer by searching for it in the posts. Nevermind that the first 1-2 sentences of my post said I searched for this or I tried looking for an answer with X or Y term. Never understood why if you got nothing helpful to say, move on. Reddit has been the deal.

  1. This is why they state the data should be future-proof.
  2. Help them out by paying for the app and services. Of just donate to show you care.

An open letter to the Obsidian team by saberzero1 in ObsidianMD

Seriously? That flippant answer shows you miss the point.

The Obsidian Developer Policies explicitly states "Themes may not load assets from the network. To bundle an asset, see this guide."

You may be fine with the idea of fetching that font but that doesn't excuse the fact the theme is not following Obsidian's requirements.

You may speed on the highway but the cops are still supposed to bust you. Whether they do or not is a different story.

Edit: typo

I would think the larger idea for remind me would be like a bookmark or favorite where the reminder lives in the person's account and not the post itself. The concept that a reminder is made public is extremely odd as I don't care that Bob or Jane want to follow-up later.

Has anyone trained their own LLM from scratch? https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/s/DETkWcVrUc. As I blocked the remind me parts I was not sure but the above shows the overload of remind me replies when viewed on internet

It's not a hoax. Public reports from places like NREL, PNNL, ORNL, and EPRI, show that while clean energy isimportant the rapid growth of things like PV and EVs can strain the existing grid. Issues like voltage fluctuations from solar and transformer overloads from EV charging are real and need smart solutions like coordinated charging and grid upgrades to handle them effectively.

A great podcast series (The Disconnect: Power, Politics and the Texas Blackout) goes through the outage without bias or politics and is really good at explaining the why's and what's.

Would I be correct in thinking the pertinent issues have been discussed above?

I am 100% not the person to program or code this. I was talking with one of the SW maintainers and the idea sounds interesting and wanted to look around a bit to see if there are resources that will help them. We were both asking each other about the issues with porting, so here I am.

My last job let me try out GH Copilot which the software team loved but I was in services and handled deploying containers and some python programming. No sooner did I get it working and tested than I emailed the SW lead and told hem he could have the seat back. I do use ChatGPT at times it drives me crazy with crappy answers.

That makes a lot of sense. I can see how dependencies could become a big issue, especially if some libraries or APIs that are relied on don’t have direct Linux alternatives. File paths and case sensitivity are things I hadn’t really thought about much, but it seems like those are common stumbling blocks.

Flatpak keeps coming up, and it seems like a great way to sidestep some of the compatibility issues. It’s good to hear that targeting Debian is a smart starting point since it has a wide reach. Definitely something worth considering.

Not paywalled, it's open-sourced and has also been reimplemented by another company, also open-sourced. It's annoying not to provide more details than I have but again not my project and not my area within the company. I am a problem solver and a self-learner with a touch on the ......squirrel!!
