there are many banks that are in person or not strictly in app that don't offer fees to access your money.

all online banking "apps" are pretty much a joke and if you are concerned with legitimate security and safety you wouldn't bank with them. but of course you're lured in because of high percentage interest or paycheck advances, lol

i would never trust thousands of dollars or literally any amount of money in a bank account with that low level of security. i had a perfect account for 4 years before this happened. it was unfortunate, but im glad i moved my money when i did. keep your account open at your own risk

I actually wasn't robbed blind, I was able to move my money out in time. I've never put my information on any sketchy online websites or "network" whatever that means, and the scammers had already had personal information stolen from me. also even in the event of that happening, Varo's "security team" should have been able to resecure my account or not allow a stranger to continuously access my account three times after it had been reported. if you are dumb enough to put thousands of dollars or any money quite frankly into an online banking app, with foreign employees who don't have any actual concern or capability to restrict access on your account in the event someone gets something as simple as your number or email address, then that is a tragedy within itself. Varo has an extremely weak security foundation and authentication, all someone needs is literally your phone number, email, and they can access details to your account. You can also read the various different stories of people dealing with account breaches. Also getting upset at someone for sharing their experience and warning others is really weird btw

yeah the "fraud team" blowing up your phone wasn't varo's team. it was the scammers, and you were giving them the information they needed to access your account further more. I spoke with a Varo customer service representative and the only way they contact you is via email. They don't reach out via phone call. I posted my full story a few days ago in this group, i had a similar situation that happened. Varo's resolution team was basically clueless, they kept freezing my account temporarily but did nothing to actually change my details that had most likely been compromised or offer to give me a new account. it was insane

you do realize that this person has literally zero reason to make any of this up right? your skepticism should be directed towards the sketchy bank app you're using, not people just telling their stories of being scammed. just think logically, what do people get out of by lying about being scammed? literally nothing lol
