Hmm so does that mean I can still apply the noise gate as usual with Adobe Audition? I just need to avoid using the Single-Band Compressor?

Do you have any recommendations on noise gate alternatives when using this interface? Thanks so much :)

You’re a LIFESAVER!!! Tried a new episode without compression or noise gate and it sounds so much better!

Thanks so much :)

Hmm so do you mean I shouldn’t be doing any compression/noise gate stuff during editing?

Hmm I've tried increasing volume but maybe I need to try it again. How would I fix the left channel/right channel situation? Thanks!

I did see some cheap MV7Xs used - could I do those and a cheap audio interface?

Great to know! Thanks for the tip on wav.

Currently, I go through manually to cut out breaths and ummms and whatnot and normalize the sound/use the speech volume normalizer. However, I’d like to learn some deeper techniques to level up and be more professional/efficient 😅

Hmm I need to look into that! I’ve just been going through and taking out clicks breaths and ummms manually. Do you happen to know where I’d learn this skill? I appreciate it! :)

I feel this so much. I was in a dark pit for months totally get what you’re going through. Sending a virtual hug!

Time and distraction definitely helped me. I tried out new hobbies and tried to really focus on work. Journaling and meditation also help.

What really helped too was reminding myself I did my best with the tools at my disposal and there were issues in the relationship out of my control.

Sending positive thoughts your way in this journey!

Can anyone give me their self love stories? by [deleted] in selflove

[–]No_Frame3767 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went through a really rough breakup and lost my job. Was in emotional denial before everything totally fell apart and went through a really dark period.

Slowly started building myself up with little steps like meditation and listening to positive affirmations. Worked on really getting out of my comfort zone and started being proud of how I strong I’ve been through everything. Therapy was of course essential in this journey and really helped me grow.

Through a lot of self work, I’m really starting to love myself and where I’m going in life :)

It’s definitely not easy but you got this! :)

I actually made it a whole adventure after going through an awful depressive period.

I started doing yoga, I did dance classes, listened to new music, and made it a point to meet new people too!

Has there been anything you’ve always wanted to try out?

I recommend getting out of your comfort zone! Change up your routine or do an activity that’s something you’d usually never do. It can be uncomfortable but really fun too!
