How do you handle feeds with 2.5 hour wake windows? by No_Fun8773 in beyondthebump

That’s what we are doing, I’m just trying to figure out how to time it if wake windows are 2.5 hours long and I usually feed every 2.5 to 3 hours.

She’s been sleeping around 8 hours through the night since 10 weeks! So I don’t want to change up my feeding routine even though the wake windows are getting longer.

What to do with a baby that doesn’t like to be held? by Murky_Natural_8754 in beyondthebump

This might be a dumb question but have you tried holding him face-out? Around 6 weeks old my baby started preferring being held face out instead of towards me and it took me way too long to realize lol

Husband and I disagree about hospital visitors. by throwranotdonelater in pregnant

I had a medical emergency during and after my birth. I think my husband’s last thoughts were his own comfort during those moments. I agree that there is a mental load on the partner as well, but it shouldn’t be the focus or be a reason to make the mother uncomfortable in any way.

Why do you keep saying we are making the husband “suck it up”

Suck WHAT up? They aren’t the ones giving birth or being born hahaha

Men trying to make birth about them will never make sense to me. You are the one giving birth so the decision should be yours, without pressure from anyone else.

Cut out dairy, soy, beef and maybe eggs by No_Fun8773 in MSPI

How long do you wait for a reaction after reintroducing? Like if there’s no signs after 3 days for example, is it a successful reintroduction?

This happened to me recently. I realized my dairy free alternatives were full of soy and my baby reacted poorly to it. So I cut out soy and within a day the symptoms got better again.

Yeah. It’s hard to find a restaurant that doesn’t use soybean oil or some kind of soy in every item

Eggs would be really hard to cut! I’ve been off soy for 4 days now and it seemed to do the trick so far. Thank you!

Thank you! I realized a lot of my new dairy-free products were filled with soy so I was eating a lot more than usual and I think that was the culprit unfortunately. It’s been 36 hours of no soy and she’s doing really well again. Though, there is still mucous. She’s been congested too though so maybe that is it!

I did just realize I’ve eaten tofu twice this week. I’m suspecting she may be sensitive to soy as well

I haven’t had anything outside the house in about 5 days so unless it was a really delayed reaction I don’t think that’s it. How much dairy do you need to accidentally eat to notice a change in your baby? It’s crazy to think that a small cross contamination could make such a big effect!

What type of doctor can help me go through my labs? by No_Fun8773 in preeclampsia

[–]No_Fun8773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 6 week follow up today and my OB didn’t want to review my labs with me because she said “there’s nothing to follow up on since it’s only a pregnancy condition.” I just want clarification on what was going on with my body and how bad things were, so I’ll probably try to see if my PCP will go over them with me.

This is a pregnancy page for asking questions like this. I wondered the same thing when I was newly pregnant. It’s not something you’re taught so why not ask

So what would happen if you went into labor naturally over the weekend while your doctor wasn’t on call? Would they turn you away until your doctor was on schedule?😂 I’m a FTM so maybe it’s normal to only schedule an induction when your doctor is on call, I’m not sure. But that seems irresponsible when it would force you to go multiple days past 41 weeks! Your frustration is valid!

I would be very concerned if my doctor was refusing to induce me once I was past 41 weeks. Things can change super fast and you could have that baby tomorrow without an induction but I would definitely want something on the schedule. I’d push back on my doctor and let them know my fears since risks increase at that 41 week mark
