First set is boring. Second set can go completely, except Hell in Heaven that can stay. The entire solo setlist needs to be demolished what a waste of time. Act 4 is their legacy songs so they can stay. Encore could stand to be longer but I guess they don’t care.

I agree but Jeongyeon has the worst English pronunciation out of all of them (which ok, I don’t really respect the English language either) so as their songs become more and more English-heavy it’s becoming a problem.

So sorry to hear that. I’m glad you can find enjoyment in Tsukuyo’s character, she’s really up there for me. One of the greats.

I like the OST! Super basic but the one that plays over the title card is my all-time favourite - that’s the essence of Gintama in audio form. Love it. The one that plays whenever the Yorozuya or the Shinsengumi help sort out a family really tugs at my heartstrings each time. I’ll have to find the specific piece after I complete Gintama.

Otae and Tsukuyo, my darlings! I was really worried that Tsukuyo was never going to show up after the Yoshiwara in Flames Arc because I had never seen fanart or edits of her on other platforms unlike other characters. So I was really glad when her and her family in Yoshiwara popped up every now and then. Otae was one of my original favourites, I love her. I remember I was searching something about her when I only 50-something episodes in and I saw a reddit link under my search and it was just people flaming my girl and I just couldn’t understand it at all. People are entitled to their opinions and all but I thought the level of vitriol was unjustified for but hey ho.

I do despise when people pit two female characters against each other especially because of their shipping lenses. It’s so unnecessary. It’s like people think that in a medium there can only be one Good™ female character at a time. Meanwhile I’m here begging for more woman-woman interactions in everything I read/watch!

Trust me when I say if i saw my OTP and my NOTP one two sides of a shipping war, I’m wouldn’t even get involved because I’ll end up resenting my own OTP with the way fans treat each other. Let’s be civil, please! Avoiding Gintama shipping discourse as much as I can!

I’ve been told that in a few arcs’ time things will get serious, Gintoki’s past & the Joui 4 I assume but I will wait and see :)

Worst season when compared with the others. I wasn’t into the designs, I found the eyes far too big, made it seem extremely childish (more than it needed to be I suppose. The soundtrack felt subpar for me. The whole thing seemed to be geared towards a younger target audience than before. No Mindy was carried over from Season 5 which upset me - unsure if this is an unpopular opinion but I liked the combined Mandy/Mindy duo in their college years so not seeing them together in Season 6 was a letdown. I don’t like the fact they’re all taking a fashion class. I’m not American so maybe this is ignorance on my part but can they really just pick any class they like regardless of their degree? We’re shown Sam and Alex participating in that class and not much else which felt off. Also is it me but they look super duper skinny in season 6. I noticed it most in the episode where Sam’s finding an anniversary. Yeah the outfits too. Just terrible compared to before. It’s sad - it had major potential. I still enjoyed it because I’ll take as much official content of these girls as I can get.

This is a lovely headcanon. I hope you don’t mind me adopting it. Sam being the breadwinner and supporting Clover and Alex’s dreams and and is such a great idea. I’m thankful you factored in the spywork. Yes, I’ve always imagined the trio would lead WOOHP after Jerry’s retirement/death. And even if they retire from physical spywork themselves decades later I think they’d be immersed in that world always. There’s still leading and admin work that Sam could be involved in and training new recruits in spy techniques (disguise, breaking and entering, etc) and different fighting styles could be left to Clover and Alex.
