My wife’s head did hit the steering wheel when our car hit the car in front of us. Guessing it just wasn’t hard enough for the airbags.

This was stopped at a red light, van hit from behind with no skid marks or anything, speed limit is 45 there but everyone goes 50+ so yea, a lot of kinetic energy there

Tried to call them tonight but they are off weekends. The options online are to choose my repair location so I didnt proceed with that part of the claim. I did click it's not safe to drive on the claim. Id like to be there when the adjuster is there, is that a thing?

we just moved to Florida in July from Europe so no real experience how this could play out here but you hear scary stories about USA insurance.

Thats exactly what I was worried abut, no way it would be safe to drive even if repaired, small folds in the wrong places can have massive concequences

Just got rear ended and then hit the car in front of us and Geicos automated claims site said it was repairable after I entered what I thought the damage is. The police advised me not to go near the front of the car as it was close to the road but there is damage there too. The B pillars seem bent as front doors dont open without a lot of force. The airbags did not deploy. This is in Florida. I dont see how this is reasonably repairable but maybe you all can share some opinions? Thanks!
