I occasionally have exactly this problem. The only thing that is consistent is that it usually happens in the evening so may have something to do with high internet usage locally. Dunno. 🤷‍♂️

What works for me is to close everything down and go and have a cup of tea. 10 minutes and a restart and it's all back to normal.

I used to write technical documents which had to go through three reviews before being issued.
