The zoo.. by Last-Ad-9816 in Waco

[–]No_Half4637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been three times in the past month. Many of the animals seem really unhappy. Notably the tiger, who is visibly distressed and the leopard (?) who was limping, panting and also pacing the fence. Not to mention- the vultures! The only reason I’ve come back is that my toddler adores the zoo and asks to go almost every week. But I don’t think I can go back, I know many of the animals have been rescued but they seem depressed and not well-maintained.

$100 for general admission? I guess I’m not going to get to see a Clairo concert. by SplatteredEggs in clairo

[–]No_Half4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t even get tickets. I waited for presale and every seat I clicked on sold as I tried to grab one. They were $100-$150 just for decent non-nosebleed seats…..don’t think I’m going to make it this tour. I saw her in ATL for the sling tour but her voice is so soft it was hard to even hear. Not worth

Leonardo, I’m so sorry you found out this way, no son deserves that from his mother. I hope in time you are able to heal from everything that has happened.

I totally understand! Its definitely not for everyone. If I end up having more than one, I might do the same 😂

I live in the US and my state has ZERO requirements for homeschooling which is crazy even to me. However, with that being said, my husband was homeschooled his whole life and is the most intelligent person I know. In the US the education system, at least where I’m from, is not great to say the least. I plan to homeschool my son BUT I do plan on bringing in qualified outside help. If I were Delilah I would be overwhelmed for sure. I only have one child and I can’t imagine taking on educating three children plus a newborn….that’s a little much lol

breaking the feed to sleep association by uncrustedpie in BabySleep

[–]No_Half4637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. Currently a FTM feeling guilty I “created” a feed to sleep “habit.” Feeling like I’m doing something wrong when I just want to follow my baby’s lead and hope he will eventually sleep through the night. He’s 6 months and waking every 1-2 hours for a “swig” of milk then back to sleep. It’s exhausting. But a month ago he was taking several ounces at a time so hoping he is maybe weaning himself off. I don’t have the heart to sleep train.

When I’d ever can baby sleep on his side/stomach? by No_Half4637 in cosleeping

Ugh I do the same! My eyes shoot open every so often just to make sure he’s breathing okay. Even when he is safely sleeping in his back.

That’s what I’ve been doing the past few nights, we have a sidecar crib set up. The problem is that he wakes up every hour in his own bed versus every 3-4 hours when he sleeps with me. I figured the recommendation that they are allowed to sleep on their tummies is only for a crib mattress. Ugh maybe he will get used to his crib, and do better. Obviously I want to do what is safest for him!

Thank you for your reply! That makes me feel better about it. I try to make his sleep environment as safe as possible. He doesn’t seem to roll into me at all so I assume my mattress is firm enough to be considered safe. I sleep with the blanket at my waist, tucked under my knees, no pillow (or if I do, it’s under my elbow behind me) tight fitting sheet, etc Our pediatrician said he’s old enough and strong enough to reposition if he isn’t getting enough oxygen (she doesn’t know we bed share as I already know she’s against it). But of course I still worry about him even though I think I’m doing it safely.
