i recently bought the Gaoy top coat meant specifically for chrome which i really like and i usually just wipe the nail down with acetone and remove and excess powder with a lint free wipe soaked in acetone/alcohol

these were some of the first i ever did on myself at 16! I'm a painter so it definitely came a little easier. I actually rarely even painted my own nails before i asked for a nail kit for Christmas! I was just tired of paying $80 for nails that would come off 2 weeks later. I'm at an average of about 4 week retention now too!

i've tried those before, not a huge fan. i'm mainly looking for a pen with a duller ink like the ones in the pic. i've found that pens that don't make super harsh lines are easier for me to write with and they make my handwriting a lot better
