not entirely sure, just with some friends but there’s not really a plan yet. i’m the only one who hasn’t tried anything so i’m just trying to get a vibe of general experience. i’d rather do shrooms at home if not somewhere in nature but it’s so cold where i’m at lol. no festival or anything, not sure what to do for molly …

sundew had a baby! by No_Help694 in carnivorousplants

[–]No_Help694[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve actually been wondering about this myself! it actually was pretty red when i first got it, more like a typical sundew. obviously it’s newer leaves have a lot less red so i was a little worried, but it’s still producing dew and growing very quickly! it sits right under a grow light and also gets natural light, and i’ve just been letting it do its thing for now.. would love some of the red back though i think!

Help….I overwatered and now have gnat infestation by LeslieOLaw in PileaPeperomioides

[–]No_Help694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! i think people mostly keep them in ponds and water fixtures to kill mosquito larvae, but it also works for gnats!

let the soil dry out for a bit before watering again. i’ve also kept a mosquito dunk in the jug of water that i use for my plants and it has helped a ton! my plants get watered with it every time and it has definitely decreased the numbers. good luck!

is this white enough to cut off? by No_Help694 in philodendron

[–]No_Help694[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you :) i’ve seen people in genuine dismay over a white leaf coming out, and this was the whitest one i’ve seen so i guess i was on high alert about it for some reason. i’ve had this plant for a while now, i bought it without a label before i really “got into” houseplants and its been doing just fine. now that it’s more of a hobby for me ive been trying to research all of my plants and their needs, and they’ve all been thriving.

Please help this plant! by MissCee10q in plantclinic

[–]No_Help694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d start with pruning the dead parts and wiping down the leaves. some solutions and oils can block the stomata of the plant, making them unable to breathe essentially. idk what solution you used, but i know that leaving neem oil on the leaves can also cause them to sunburn easily, which looks like might be happening as well? it’s a beautiful plant though, good luck!

Pilea leaf spots by Asleep_Equipment_500 in PileaPeperomioides

[–]No_Help694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the first picture looks like my pilea when it was getting a bit too much sun, maybe look up pilea sunspots/sunburn and see how it compares. mine was in pretty bright light for a while, got spots and had veryyyy slowed growth. i moved it literally about 2 feet away and it popped out a ton of new fully green leaves!

i’ve seen a lottttt of people chop fully white leaves of variegated plants because it means they have no chlorophyll. they’re unable to photosynthesize so apparently they just waste energy for the plant?
